Presty On Tour Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 2-1 and maybe there is a riot of goals on the cards in the 2nd half after all
The Dart Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 To think Jeff Stelling said our game meant nothing. Blackburn really are forgotten about by pundits. Lets show them how Rovers answer back!
Rovers in America Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Wigan's goal was an absolute fluke off the defenders legs and arching over the goalie, but I'll take it. Now just hold it Wigan and don't give up a quick reply goal.
tony gale's mic Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Following the Wigan game now on BBC online radio, this is probably bigger for us now that we really ought to finish the job against Derby.
The Dart Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Doesn't this mean Derby will score now, knowing Rovers like we do.
tony gale's mic Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Europe is back on!! Also Portsmouth losing so our chances of finishing 7th at least look pretty good...with 500k a place that could have a decent impact in the transfer market this summer.
Rovers in America Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 The results are all going our way if things would just finish out. I would feel a lot more comfortable though if we'd get another goal against Derby.
tony gale's mic Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Very bad day for Birmingham. Would love to send them down next weekend.
Rovers in America Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Europe is back on!! Also Portsmouth losing so our chances of finishing 7th at least look pretty good...with 500k a place that could have a decent impact in the transfer market this summer. Good point on the extra cash too, 7th would be good, 6th would be great. I think Pompey is still down a bit from last week's draw with Everton after being up late.
tony gale's mic Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 There really are a lot of whingers on here but surely finishing 3 or 4 places higher than last season after spending much less than our counterparts represents a big achievement? Yes we've had games where we could have done better, had poor form but that happens, that's football. Look at Villa today.
Daremz Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Trois a Un! My 4-1 prediction is smiling at the horizon...
Rovers in America Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Gosh I hate Martin O'Neill so much. I think he thinks he deserves a 2 way microphone with the referee so he can babble to him all 90 minutes of the game.
tony gale's mic Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Great, great day. If only we had held on against United we'd almost be home and dry.
rover6 Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Can I take a guess as to who Bentley beat to create the third goal? Was it Jay McEveley? Tuuuuuuuugaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. A personal salute.
Rovers in America Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 Villa goes down 2-0. Pompey goes down 2-0. We're back to 1 point behind Villa for the Intertoto spot with 1 game to go.
greggyk Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 After a slight drab season...how exciting is Sunday going to be now!!!
tony gale's mic Posted May 3, 2008 Posted May 3, 2008 After a slight drab season...how exciting is Sunday going to be now!!! Drab? Okay so we have had some poor form but as I've said we're going to finish 3 or 4 places higher than we did last season. It's been a fantastic season all in all in the league, just been disappointing in the cups.
