Faddy can play but did better on the international scene because the pace is a bit slower than England.

I saw him loads of times for Everton and he came up short.

Shame, because he has ability. Just not great for the Premier League.

Thre are so many inferior players plying their trade in the Premier League. McFadden can easily hold his own in the topflight at a mid-table club. A better player than Gamst? I think so.

Well I prefer Pedersen.

As Nicko said he's only got 4 goals for Brum - playing upfront - and two of them were penalties.

If we're going to sign someone to challenge Ped, I'd rather it wasn't yet ANOTHER slow player.

What about MGP to Spurs?

Spurs want Johnson at Middlesbrough, who could become a better player than MGP.

I suspect the MGP stories are coming from his camp. He has a fixed price in his contract - as mentioned a long time ago - and they could be trying to start an auction.

If Spurs can agree a fee for Johnson - or sort out the Huddlestone swap - then that one should happen.

i also prefer an underperfoming pedersen to mcfadden..i cant believe everton got 5million for him-what a deal for them...

mcfadden has shown for scotland he can be a good player-and when i have watched them-he has looked their best player-sadly his international form hasnt transformed into premierleague...plus i bet birmingham wouldnt want to lose any money on him so he would cost more then 5million-which is way too much..

as a striker i rate mikel forssel higher then him, and as a winger i rate pedersen higher then him..

nicko. what is pedersens price??

With Spurs linked to Bentley for 15 million Pounds, according to one of the papers today, what does everyone think if they offered us Huddlestone and Lennon for Bentley?

Id take it.

No, No, No!

Huddlestone maybe, but definately not Lennon. He cannot cross a ball to save his life, he simply does not have the technique for it. And for those who say he can be taught i highly doubt it, its been a problem with him all his playing life and i can't see any form of coaching that will improve it.

No thanks.

I would love to be Olivier Kapo’s next boot boy…lol

Birmingham midfielder Olivier Kapo showed his generosity by giving his boot boy James McPike a £30,000 car as an end-of-season thank you. (Daily Mail)

Do you think Boro will be willing to sell Adam Johnson?

If so, what sort of price do you think Nicko, because he's certainly one we should be looking at if reasonably priced.

Johnson wants to go, he fancies the Spurs move too.

But can you imagine Steve Gibson and Daniel Levy trying to sort out a price? And with the deal involving a possible swap then it will get a bit stupid.

I'm amazed you feel that way. McFadden would be an excellent signing particularly if we lose Bentley and his trickery on the opposite flank.

I agree with your sentiments T4E. He's probably the one player from the relegated teams that I'd like to see us go for. He's twice the player MGP is.

would hughes sell pedersen tho??

we know when pedersen is on form he can be one of the best wingers in the league..despite what some can call a poor season he still has 6 goals and his work rate and defensive duties are really good..

Too bad I liked that Johnson, looks to be a useful player

I read not so long ago in a Norwegian newspaper that Blackburn are going to offer him a new and improved deal to get rid of that clause...maybe you can check if that's accurate?

I remember that article. The Norwegian media were talking about a contract offer of £50,000 a week!

I know that was the plan. Maybe this transfer rumour is designed to hurry that along.

Good grief, why on earth do we keep doing that?

:(

Im suprised too. For Bellamy, McCarthy and Duff it was a neccessity. Pedersen on the other hand has always been a bit up and down. I wouldn't of thought he would of had enough leverage to make us include one...

Oh well, whatever it is it is going to be above his market value at the moment.
