When Hughes came in after souness

the players had a major part to play in

Hughes' appointment so just wondering if

JW will be asking them again!

I'm sure they will have been asked, although may be a bit more difficult this time as the potential new manager won't have played alongside some of the players like Hughes.

I wouldn't get too freaked out about Sparky coming back for the whole team.

Remember Man City and his new Thai/Iranian second-hand car salesman handlers have already set up a deal for the big Brazilian striker Jo. I don't think he would go with Roque.

It's been said before but I understand that the manager felt Bentley let fame go to his head towards the end, so not sure that's a likely one at £15 million.

Warnock? Maybe. Is that a loss?

Friedel won't follow, Samba could be a worry, Nelsen might struggle with a medical, Pedersen - no.

No point in getting freaked anyway. We wouldn't sell cheap and if we get the right manager we could get in some fairly decent players with the cash we bring in. Besides which, while knee jerk reaction of players is always i want to go with the manager very few go in a wholesale team change.

Warnock has been very good at left back all season. Our problem has been finding good ones over the years. If there was another available that is worth having then let him go but if not make him stay, he is in the england squad now and will want to keep his form up.

Samba should stay, he seems happy enough here and i would of though Sparky will have bigger names to capture to please Taxi.

Just wondering: Why could Bowen's odds be as short as they are at the moment (unless I've misread something)? I thought it was a dead cert that he's going to Shi**y with MH?

It means the market is garbage and to be avoided at the moment.

Anyone heard anything about Eidur Gudjohnsson?

Im sure hes still at Barca but doesn't seem to

play!Maybe a 6-8million bid?

Trying to get my mind off the fact BFS

might be leading our team next season!

BFS was his boss at Bolton - every silver lining has its cloud... ;)

Don't fall for the Sam stuff. I know he is pushing hard, but not sure the door will open for him and his 32 backroom staff

Ten Cate talking to them too. That's why I said he was still available. Might not be long, mind you.

Surely Ten Cate would be a good option for us too? He was the real reason why Chelsea suddenly kicked on in the second half of the season, not Grant. Also, his leaving Barca and letting Frank look after the egos himself probably had something to do with the shambles that was their team last season.

He knows the Premiership after last season and I'm sure has plenty of contacts.

A ready made replacement could be Nicky Shorey of reading, very similar to Warnock.

Ten Cate was manager of Ajax before becoming coach at Chelsea.

Ten Cate is a nutter, likes to argue with the players. Eventually he would fall out with most of our squad.

Laudrup could be the perfect one, but like Nicko said he is in demand. I just hope we make an approach and see if he is interested.

Laudrup quit getafe on the grounds of the club being too small and having to yet again borrow players from bigger clubs. He stated that he wanted a club that could match his ambitions. In that sense brfc is obviously a bigger club than Getafe, but it doesn't really seem like an ideal fit. His name rings quality though and could attract players, perhaps even more so than Hughes were able too. At least in scandinavia and southern europe, Laudrup is a much bigger name. I guess a point that might attract Laudrup is the ability of using the club as a stepping stone. It's harsh, but everybody want's to make it as far as possible and rovers just cant compete financially.

Anyone else think that Williams just has to

come out and tell us fans whats going on?

If theyve started looking for a new manager

etc etc! we've pretty much been left in the dark!

Dont blame him for not saying how much weve got

to spend!unlike city,we now know theyve got

40million and coincidently RSC and Bentleys value

has just doubled!

Jesus - he's only been gone an hour! Past experience also suggests that you will hear little or nothing officially from the club until they have found their man. Which is as it should be in a well-run business. It might be frustrating but I think you had better get used to it.
