gumboots Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Have you got a really small keyboard............................? Isn't that a bit of a personal question?
Hi Mack Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Right here goes, I haven't got a clue why i write posts like that!no idea so now you have pointed it out i will write all my posts like normal people ok? ps Nicko has stroke boy not sent you a message asking to be in on the Ronaldo story?
dellinsert Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 This one really is a no-go area unless it comes out. Why do I have this vision of Stroke Boy starting to twitch somewhere? Anything to do with Robinho?
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Can't play against United would be my guess as well.
Mozzer Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 im just wondering nicko if theres any latest transfer news regarding all prem clubs??
ihtd Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Huge amount of money, Robinho, Guti and a document signed saying that Ronaldo can never play against Manchester United and is not to be play in the CL next season.
nicko Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 "Sroke Boy"? It's a long story...quite funny too in a perverse way.
Manchester Blue Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Theres a good lad. Haha nice one Toogs...i've been wondering for a few days now why all his posts seem to look like song lyrics. I was trying to work out the tune with some difficulty.
FourLaneBlue Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Laudrup quit getafe on the grounds of the club being too small and having to yet again borrow players from bigger clubs. He stated that he wanted a club that could match his ambitions. In that sense brfc is obviously a bigger club than Getafe, but it doesn't really seem like an ideal fit. His name rings quality though and could attract players, perhaps even more so than Hughes were able too. At least in scandinavia and southern europe, Laudrup is a much bigger name. I guess a point that might attract Laudrup is the ability of using the club as a stepping stone. It's harsh, but everybody want's to make it as far as possible and rovers just cant compete financially. They averaged little more than 11,000 a game this season. Even we have big crowds compared to them! As for managers using us as stepping stones...that is fine if, like Hughes, they leave us in a much better position than that in which they found us. Onwards and upwards...managers come and go but the club remains...and that is what is important.
Biddy Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 There's a twist, but THAT is something I must keep quiet just now. He has an escape clause at £63.6m?
Jim J Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 There's a twist, but THAT is something I must keep quiet just now. He stays at Man U for another season on loan?
broadsword Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Fergie likes to dress up as a nun behind closed doors? And Real Madrid are blackmailing to take 63 mill quid otherwise they're going to tell the Pope?
RevidgeBlue Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 You mean back in the Premier League with players like Friedel and Tugay in the team? No, plummeting towards the Championship with Dickov as our star striker, and Amoruso our "rock" at the back. Having sent around 20m quid on Grabbi, giving away Cole, losing a fortune on Ferguson, Yorke and Amoruso up in smoke.
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 More talk from City fans about our players. They fully believe we are going to bend over and give them our best players.
leftfooter Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 More talk from City fans about our players. They fully believe we are going to bend over and give them our best players. They fully believe we are going to bend over and pay for the vaseline too. ..time to test just how deep Dr. Thaksin's pockets are. Incidentally is he a real Doctor or a 'Dr' in the the sense of Dr. Ian Paisley or Dr. Who?
broadsword Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Dr No more like it. I want to kick his annoying head in.
Exiled in Toronto Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 If I were Hughes, I would have been galled to hear that the Trust were just fulfilling the terms of their mandate by withdrawing funding when the very same Trust, under the very same mandate, had advanced Souness such large sums. It would not have been unreasonable for Hughes to question why he was getting less financial support than the last manager when club income has never been higher. Add to that the fact that the club was up for sale and that I would have been surprised if Hughes had indeed ever met the Trustees. Under those circumstances, a dodgy hands-on foreigner with dodgy cash doesn't seem too bad an option in comparison to an invisible set of tax exiles with no apparent interest or cash to spend.
AndyR Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Is the clause that they can't won't see any money for a while (eg 2 years). Or it includes a player who is ridiculously over valed - Raul at £25m say.
vizcaya Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 I'll guess that it's something more exciting/intriguing than just a player swap or something like that... My guess: He'll never be allowed to play for Manchester United again...
nicko Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 There are some shrewdies around here. On both the Ronaldo situ and possible next manager front. Cue the site seizing up... AND DON'T ASK ME TO EXPAND ON THAT.
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 As long as it isn't Fat Sam i will look forward to when you reveal who might in for the Rovers job. On another topic: Nicko, just wondering if there was any news on Bostock?
CircoWill Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 Can't play against United would be my guess as well. My guess would be that it's Barca he goes to, not Real...
