Blackpool_Rover Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I would love that, the only man sexier than BFS. Always liked him as a footballer and I thin her would do a fine job. Have i missed something? What in the land of all things holy makes you 'think he would do a fine job'? What evidence is there of this. He has been practically out of football for 6 years...apart from a few commentaries. And has absolutely zero managerial experience. So why would we even consider having Ginola as our next manager...were a club finishing consitently in the top half of the best league in the world.

He has contacts and is level headed, Mark Hughes had only managed Wales when we appointed him. It is just an opinion anyway, not like I am in any postition to hire the man. Have you seen some of the other people linked? I would rather have a manager with no history than a history of loss and mediocrity.
brfc_jonesy Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 im not being funny, but for me, i'd be nervous as hell if shearer took over. i mean i like the guy and obviously they do need a chance but i don't know if i like the idea, same with ince im not too convinced. i would rather we got a well established manager with abit of experience, i know he aint to popular but i'd settle for fat boy, but i dont know man, if we got alan then maybe i'd be suprised. i hope so anyway haha!
Grabbi Graeme Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 is Martin Jol not in Holland, with one of the dutch clubs? It would be a good idea for Jol to be in Holland if he is the manager of a dutch team Sorry couldn't resist Candidate B = David Ginola I was gonna say that myself , wasn't there something about him on SSN before about being a manager.
Grabbi Graeme Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 At least Big Brother starts tonight to take our minds off it all UK Open darts on Sky Sports 1 would be a better thing to watch
PLZ Blue Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Desperation makes the mind do silly things: Mr Sexy = Dennis Bergkamp
PAFELL Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Big source here: Ronnie Claytons son works with my mates mum and from a close source within rovers alan shearer is at brockhall today holding talks over the managers job! Lets see... Love to see him here aswell as many other rovers fans! Come on al get here! alan shearer is at brockhall today holding talks over the managers job! I do not believe this at all - pure fantasy on your part. Williams is in London at the moment, not at Brockhall. Rovers will not meet with a ' possible ' new manager at Brockhall - especially as Williams has already said that there is a growing list of people interested in the job. Williams will sift that list before arranging interviews etc. This will not be done at Brockhall.
EwoodGlory Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 is Martin Jol not in Holland, with one of the dutch clubs? He is in Germany with an american club called Hamburger
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 UK Open darts on Sky Sports 1 would be a better thing to watch That the one with that female darts player competing in it? Russian?
AggyBlue Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Ronnie Claytons son works with my mates mum and from a close source within rovers alan shearer is at brockhall today holding talks over the managers job! Having talks with who? Rovers top brass are in London for two days.

Can you fill me in on past posts - whats this candidate B stuff?
rebelmswar Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Can you fill me in on past posts - whats this candidate B stuff? Candidate B is a manager not from England that has Premier experiance, Mr Nicko is unable to mention the name at this time.
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Can you fill me in on past posts - whats this candidate B stuff? Nicko mentioned two candidates that might be in the running A is Shearer, B is someone foreign iirc and has been described as a "rip snorter". Nicko says its early stages and he doesn't want to reveal candidate B yet as it could screw the whole thing up. He also asked not to be pestered with questions about candidiate B and he would say when the time is right who it is.
Hasta Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Not been on the site all afternoon. On which thread are we bemoaning the United want Santa Cruz story.

Hi Mack Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Big source here: Ronnie Claytons son works with my mates mum and from a close source within rovers alan shearer is at brockhall today holding talks over the managers job! Lets see... Love to see him here aswell as many other rovers fans! Come on al get here! My mate lives at brockhall and also said a "few" people had seen him at Brockhall! Cant see it being true though surely they'd keep it under wraps wouldnt they? Think theres alot of billy bulling going on!
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Not been on the site all afternoon. On which thread are we bemoaning the United want Santa Cruz story. I don't believe it, there is plenty of rubbish being printed at the moment about us. Bentley going for £7 million, Friedal to Villa for £3 million etc. Even talk of James Beattie coming back for £4 million. Best to just ignore it.
PAFELL Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Candidate B is a manager not from England that has Premier experiance, Mr Nicko is unable to mention the name at this time. Thanks for that - here's my list of people I can think of at the moment. Claudia Ranieri (spelling) Martin Jol Viali Donis (ex-rover now at Larisa) Grant houllier

Can anyone find what Santa said in full as the prattle that Sky are reporting is vauge in the extreme. Sounds to me like he isnt interested anyway.
tcj_jones Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Can somebody please link me to Betfair odds for the next permanent Blackburn manager please? I can't find them there, while OddChecker isn't loading. I went on bet24 and Ince hasn't even been given odds!
tcj_jones Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Thanks for that - here's my list of people I can think of at the moment. Claudia Ranieri (spelling) Martin Jol Viali Donis (ex-rover now at Larisa) Grant houllier He's a free agent. I wonder if it's a coincidence that David Ginola has randomly been on SSN this last hour saying he wants to go into football management? Probably, but made me think.
Presty On Tour Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Thanks for that - here's my list of people I can think of at the moment. Claudia Ranieri (spelling) - juventus boss, no chance. Martin Jol - hamburg - after how he was treated by spurs i doubt he fancies coming back. Viali - lost more games for watford than he won, a no no. Donis (ex-rover now at Larisa) - he is now at aek athens, possible though he didn't really enjoy england. Grant - unemployed and would take anything houllier - wants time off supposedly
