No need when we have you as a spell checker :brfcsmilie:

If we all concerned ourselves with how people spell, words they use, grammer etc etc we would not cover many subjects on this message board.

But especially for you M A N C I N I

Anyway could this be candidate B?

The word Mancini isn't on spellchecker. I'm not a grammar nazi but seeing the word Manchini or Manichini over and over was really getting on my wick.

EDIT: I see what you said, I misread. I'll no longer concern myself with the preservation of the English language.

What on earth?! Where have people got this from?

Hughes has been extremely professional throughout this and had good words to say for the club. I don't like the idea of him stealing our players, but I suppose that's football.

Interesting about Ince

Paul Ince's prospects of becoming the new Blackburn Rovers manager could be damaged by the former England captain's failure to complete his coaching qualifications.

At Macclesfield Town, then Milton Keynes Dons, Ince has shown he has the potential to be a leading manager but he does not possess the Uefa Pro-Licence, which is now compulsory to work in the Premier League.

He is Sin

We Are The Rovers

Fantastic rabble rousing, Paddy - keep it coming!

As Pierre says: <Bad news about Hughes but you have to put it all into context. Knocked out of UEFA by some Greek bar team, league cup by Arsenal youth team, whopped by Coventry in the FA cup and lost out on Europe by getting stuffed by a relegated team on the last day of the season. Sounds like a sacking job to me!> Glad we got some cash a la the Souness exit!

Bring on whoever but I'm in MC's - Faz for Rovers Gaffer faction, with Stu Metcalfe as Director of Football! :rover:

I'd love Shearer ... but do we deserve him?

A close mate said today...If he were Shearer he would tell Rovers fans to feck right off.

And you know what? I agree.

We have been collectively appalling to the man who has had the most impact ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. to us as a club.

And what did we do when he came back? (Came back incidentally from his home town club)

Boo boo boo boo boo

I was and am ashamed. No justification for that. If you read this and have bood Alan Shearer in the past...hang your heavy head in shame.

Completely losing the emotional plot at the moment....see page 200 or so when I went overboard. this means too much to me and am not sure everyone understands where we are. JW does. Hughes didnt. So feck him.

Spiller in the summer.

That suits me down to the ground, I wouldn't want him in charge of Rovers. What, exactly, has he done in management? Sending everyone to sleep with his 'analysis' on MOTD doesn't qualify him to do anything.

Excited about the future for Rovers, new ideas with a very strong squad - we look in good shape.

Is this the same 'very strong squad' that until Hughes departure we were all bemoaning was not strong enough last season.....?

Interesting times, but if you potentialy take away Bentley, Santa Cruz OOijer and Warnock from next seasons squad, it is bereft of quality and lets face it £15 million a piece for Bentley and Santa Cruz (given his injury record) and we should snap their hands off.

Up front J Roberts McCarthy and Derbyshire should just about have enough goals in them to keep us up (better than kuqi and Dickov).

Midfield: Vogel- still a questionmark, Dunn -perennially injured, Pedersen- More miss than hit- Tugay-influence waned this season, Reid-bleedin awful but may benefit from pre season. Bert would be our best midfielder by a mile - and we need him for rightback!

If we can't attract quality with the potential transfer money bonanza then IMO we're in for a long depressing season. Especially if its under Allardyce!

But lo, there is light in the tunnel.

There are plenty of sensibly priced Players in Europe (The Premier League prices are ridiculous!!!) according to the press. Arsharvin, Farfan, Djibril Cisse, Aimar, Saviola, Dos Santos etc

We could potentialy buy 4 of those and still have money left from the sale of Bentley and Santa Cruz.....

Imagine, ......Arsharvin to Farfan...Farfan inside to Saviola....slips the ball through to Cisse.....ooooh just wide.

Now wouldn't that get bums on seats at Ewood. Plus one good season from any of them and they would double in value.

All we need is a quality managerial appointment who could attract such players - from a forward thinking board (oh yeah- and the Manchesters to cough up the transfer fees)

I had a dream...............

Why are so many Rovers fans fools? Seriously?! We laugh at Newcastle fans but those of you who advocate having Shearer as manager are no better IMO.

Granted I've had a bit more whisky than a nightcap tonight but I just can't understand the thoughts that run through your mind.

Shearer - great player.

Sounds like an idiot on MOTD.

No coaching experience whatsoever.

He's not even Rovers through and through, Newcastle are his big passion.

Yet a good number of you want him as Rovers manager.

It absolutely beggars belief. And it worries me that the board are thinking along similar lines.

This is an absolutely crucial appointment, one we can't leave to chance and Shearer has a very high chance of failing completely.

could "candidate B" be jurgen klinsmann?

Considering he's agreed to take over at Bayern...

Like I said I can't see past Deschamps as Mr B. Unless we're having some ex player novice like Ginola, in which case I would tell them to go the same way as Shearer. Nowhere near our hot seat, basically.

Granted, I wasn't a fan of Rovers (or football for that matter) when Shearer was here, but I don't want to see him as manager here. He is too much of a Newcastle man for this job, he'd just be training here in hopes to move there later... and I dislike Newcastle immensely, I wouldn't want to see them nicking our manager (assuming Shearer would do well here, which I doubt as well).

More than Crompton or Lewis?

I don't think so!

Get a grip! (to quote another with blue and white blood)

If he mannaged to get us near the top six, he would be off to the barcodes in double quick time as the next messiah

Disagree and I think you should too. Santa will not go for £13m and bentley for £10m - IF they go it will be for much more. Emre gone for £8m, Milner up for sale for around £8m too. Yet Bentley goes for only £2m more despite all his media attention?? Yeah ok! Bents will go for £15m Minimum.

Crouch is up for £10m, Yet Santa is only worth £3m more? and only £2m more than City reportedly offered in January?? 26 year old, admirers include United and Arsenal. 20+ goals in his first season, continental pedigree and very well known in europe. He is easily worth £20m now.

What your problem is Hughesey is that you believe the fees the red tops brand around.

And then exaggerate our own players value with a Dr Evil esque....

TWENTY FIVE ZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILION DOLLARS......................

I promise you, absolutely guarantee you Bentley and Santa Cruz will NOT go for a penny more than twenty five million pounds BETWEEN THEM. And that is after add on and bonuses etc.

Reality mate.

I disagree.

What about the likes of SWP, Carrick and Darren Bent.?

We are in a position where we don't have to sell, but if the price is right..

Shearer deserved all he got. If he comes back it's water under the bridge but at the time he looked after himself and left Rovers in a very lousy position right at the start of the season. He kept no-one at Ewood aware of his intentions despite the fact we practically threw away any chance of a uefa cup spot in order to allow him to be fit for Euro96.

Yes he was exception and won us the league. It doesn't hide the fact he still left in a far, far worse and unscrupulous situation than Lucas Neill.

I wonder if you boo'd Lucas?
