Sandiway Blue Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 You mean on Friday 13th? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
gumboots Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Could be bad luck for Sam just as much as for Rovers.
thenodrog Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Sam would impress in an interview I reckon. I am currently get torn to pieces in the office at the moment by Spurs and other London based fans - they are literally pi*sing themselves laughing about our managerial short list in general, and also the liklihood of Sam getting the job. Quite hard to take....... Don't worry John....... I think we've had far more managerial stability than they have over the past few years as well as winning more. AND I'd wager that travelling to Blackburn to face a team managed by Allardyce will be hard for em to take as well!
EwoodGlory Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I normally hate Facebook but there is a 'Please Mr Williams, we DON'T want Sam Allardyce as the next Rovers manager!' group with 928 members on.
thenodrog Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 If Nicko says Ten Cate is the dog's then fine, i'll take his word for it, he knows him better than me! How about recommending Nicko for manager latd? Stick him on the poll..... give us an alternative to Lee grooby if nothing else.
Brownie Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I normally hate Facebook but there is a 'Please Mr Williams, we DON'T want Sam Allardyce as the next Rovers manager!' group with 928 members on. Well surely thats worth a sentence in the Mirror, Alan ?
sjsbrfc Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I normally hate Facebook but there is a 'Please Mr Williams, we DON'T want Sam Allardyce as the next Rovers manager!' group with 928 members on. 930 now!

thenodrog Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I wish there was more news... very nervous at the prospect of Fat Sam turning us in to Blackburn Wanderers Never mind Blackburn 'Lanky' Wanderers fits better Ben for some reason?!? Oh Lanky Lanky, Lanky Lanky Lanky Lanky Wanderers..... Hey that could catch on!
EwoodGlory Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Facebook Group A mention in the paper that nearly 1000 people have signed up might get some notice

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I don't want to sound too much like 'drog but I fail to see how you can be a genuine, diehard fan in that case. However I do accept that there is always a section of fans who will follow through every good and bad time (I was amongst the 4,000 gates in the old 3rd), a section of absolute glory hunters who come for a handful of games and a group in between. Maybe I'm a fool but I cherish loyalty and I know that sometimes is used to exploit the fans but in respect of the Rovers, the board and most importantly John Williams I have no reason to feel that we don't get as good a deal as anyone else in the Premiership. If Allardyce is appointed its because the board think he is the best candidate, full stop. They will have taken care to examine all the candidates in depth and I will respect their choice and continue to support the club. That would go for any other appointment. I am fairly neutral about Allardyce, I would like Ten Carte but I also admit to not having access to the full picture that the board will have. On that basis, live with the appointment when it is made. As for style of football Sparky did manage to produce some appallingly negative games in his first two seasons as he built the team - and its not been all rosy since. Why can't these people who refuse to go to Ewood if BFS gets the job be classed as genuine supporters? These people will not suddenly start supporting PNE - they simply want what they think is best for the club. If they are prepeared to sacrifice watching the club they love, for what they believe to be the greater good, then fair play to them.
RevidgeBlue Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I normally hate Facebook but there is a 'Please Mr Williams, we DON'T want Sam Allardyce as the next Rovers manager!' group with 928 members on. For god's sake!. Why doesn't the club just save itself 2m p.a. and we can select the team each week by text vote.
gumboots Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Me too. Resisted for as long as I could and then had to give in when I realised it ws becoming more and more of a possibility that he was going to be given more than an out of politeness interview. I laughed when sky first linked Hughes going to City with allardyce's swift return from holiday.
philipl Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Membership growing at one a mninute at the moment. 936 now.

thenodrog Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 I have just been on CenturyFM five grand fan, and was asked what the fans thought of Allardyce being manager and told him that most fans didn't want him because of of the football he plays, Was that one of em?
EwoodGlory Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Yeah come on Nicko, do us a favour, you wont want to witness the head tennis any more than we do. Im posting the link everywhere, will be 1000 later on tonight hopefully. If the majority of us don't want him, it's up to us to make the club aware of it. It might be a waste of time, but i'll not give up until the fat lady sings (or fat man signs in this case)
