I won't do anything before that. It's been an 'enlightening' couple of weeks to find out we have a Setanta worker, a Betfair forum poster, an official board poster and suspicions of a couple pinging lines to the nationals and maybe even the local paper.

Might as well cut out the middle man and out it on Sky myself?

Hopefully it's worth the wait. I promised this tale to the Sunday People and that's why I kept it back. If you saw the Mirror today you would realise that was a good call...because it would have got lost among some propaganda.

I'd be more of the opinion that getting those sort of odds opens up options - If it turns out Nicko is right, and it comes out that the Greek job is not signed and sealed yet, then his odds will no doubt nose dive at some point, even if just for a few minutes - At that point, lay it, and get yourself a free bet, or if you catch it right, maybe even money no matter what happens

You would have to work with the people who organise these papers to fully understand what goes on at times. It's a strange world.

Absolutely superb dressing room, great chairman in Bill Fox and old Don Mackay was a nice guy no matter what you think of him as a boss.

I've got the Mirror right here and find the Ince story odd ,seeing that Ince said he had had no contact with Rovers yesterday.

Really cant wait for The People in the morning which I get delivered, I'll be bouncing out of bed at 8 oclock !

Not really, the anti-Allardyce story was relevant - but they think Ince has got it. They also thought Ince had Wolves/Leicester/Wigan and several others.

If Ince gets it, then they look good.

However as I know there is a short-list and people have not even been spoken to yet I see it for what it is.

I'm not saying Ten Cate will get it - I NEVER have - but he is and still is a candidate.

There is no point guessing how interviews will go. Some will do well, some won't click.

Shearer was different because that was an all-out push in one direction by both sides...until Shearer bottled it.

Glad that Rovers are sticking or have reverted to the original pre-Shearer plan.

Iguess there is a

[c] interview the short listed candidates not in current employment first and avoid getting into horrible complications with other clubs which understably would be reluctant to give permission for their Manager just to go to an interview without prior agreements on compensation etc etc.

That would be consistent with seeing Allardyce, Laudrup (if true) and HTC now and not yet having approached MK Dons, Swansea or (please) Croatia.

2 - It's a long story. I believe I was supposed to be Dan Williams' PR plant and then I became Chris Ronnie's PR plant and along the way stumbled across a few stories through my agent mates who wanted me to write them to boost their shares prices. Then my role as a Betfair plant became obvious and my complicated scams to make ten bob out of Ten Cate were exposed by a crack reporter called Angry of Ancoats plus his camp friend Kingsley. I have also set up a charitable business as a provider of leads for the LT, several websites, Setanta among others. However the major idea is to create nicko.com and I am currently fending off six-figure offers.
