2 - It's a long story. I believe I was supposed to be Dan Williams' PR plant and then I became Chris Ronnie's PR plant and along the way stumbled across a few stories through my agent mates who wanted me to write them to boost their shares prices. Then my role as a Betfair plant became obvious and my complicated scams to make ten bob out of Ten Cate were exposed by a crack reporter called Angry of Ancoats plus his camp friend Kingsley. I have also set up a charitable business as a provider of leads for the LT, several websites, Setanta among others. However the major idea is to create nicko.com and I am currently fending off six-figure offers.

I KNEW IT!!!!!

Exactly the reasons the man is a loser before he starts.

Bolton - biggest town in the UK

Bolton - ended up with the lowest attendances in the premiership with rubber face in charge, with most of their fans being resigned to watching their team play horrible football because they were hoodwinked into believing that it was their key to SURVIVAL in the premiership.

So we appoint rubber face and go from a team always pushing the top eight to a team set up to avoid relegation......what a sack of shiite.

Now way should it be allardyce - BRFC are just too good for him - I am putting my faith in JW to see sense.

Talk about chuck enough mud! PadihamPedro you need to get away from the land of the Dingles, you are adopting their skewed brand of siege mentality! Your post is just another example of the unresearched shyte that is to be found from some quarters whenever Allardyce is mentioned. Lies lies and damned lies! Boltons attendance only slumped after Allardyce left. The Nazi's were amateurs at propaganda compered to our own 5th columnists.

Free from emotive crap these are the FACTS that our board will have in front of them.

since both teams were promoted.....

Been thinking about it and i think if it is between BFS and Ince i'd go

for BFS! just the pure fact that he has had experience in the prem and if the going gets tough

and we lose a few on the bounce will Ince have enough experience to lift the

players?

fingers crossed HTC and/or Laudrup are in the running!

Nicko,at this stage can you see any more names entering the fray besides Ince,HTC,BFS and Martinez (i know things can change on a daily basis)?

The longer the interview process goes on the more chance that someone else will emerge.

It's fair to say there are doubts about all of the candidates, so if someone came over the horizon at the right time they would have a great chance.

By doubts I mean:

ALLARDYCE - style of football, staff [which he plans to trim], Bolton history.

INCE - inexperienced, large.

TEN CATE - availability, temperament.

LAUDRUP - interest in the post, ambitions.

MCCLAREN - negative image, umbrella.

MARTINEZ - inexperience, is he the next Moyes or the next Dowie?

So, yes, there could yet be a surprise.

Same. Despite my reservations over his personality, attitude and controversial nature I think BFS's far superior experience gives him a much better chance of success than Ince in the premiership. People who have been shouting about survival always being the most important thing are absolutely right. Football club aside, the town as a whole would drop off the map if Rovers got relegated and I think others are correct in saying with our finances we would struggle to get back up. I thought Shearer was a big gamble but was swayed by nostalgia but in my opinion the gamble with Ince just isn't worthwhile. I think experience is the most important category.

Oh and for those of you who only ever read the most recent post before posting yourself and still shouting about Allardyce's lack of success and consistent failures, please check thenodrog's very enlightening post.

EDIT: apparently i can't use the post link option properly so scroll up to post #7685. Or cut and paste this: http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=622632

Bentley I understand but Roque would be depressing! :(

If Bentleys worth 15 million then Roque is worth 20 million.

Screw this.

I don't know if what you are saying is actually accurate Bobby, but I most certainly agree 100% with your reasoning.

Most of us are long resigned to the loss of Bentley, and can accept it providing the fee recieved is high enough for the purchase of an adequate replacement.

Roque however is a different case altogether. He has got something about him apart from his obvious ability on the field, that cannot be replaced by simply signing another striker with similar abilities. It is a combination of his work ethic and skills, allied to his sheer likeable personality and his declared happiness at being a Rovers player. Now before anyone jumps onto that last attribute let me just say that I am old-fashioned enough to believe him (unlike others that have made similar statements in the past) and to me that is a very important attribute in any player. It really does matter, and I refute any attempt to deny it. I know very well that in today's world of overpaid footballers we are only ever going to get much less than 1% of players that will ever be sincere in making statements like that, but nevertheless when Roque said it I believed him and I still do. Unfortunately that does not mean he cannot be persuaded to go elsewhere for career reasons, but I think that if he does he will leave Rovers with a genuine feeling of regret and lasting affection.

Is that confirmed Nicko? If so he is the standout candidate imo. Young, talanted, A manager who command respect & would attract the correct calibre of player to Ewood.

The question mark against his name is the 'IF' he is interested in the post. If he was he would be a very sexy choice.

He was talking about doubts surrounding the potential managers ie Laudrup may have no interest in the post

I took that to mean that there was doubt about his interest in the post, not that he was interested.
