Don't think it is that shocking that some of our players are unsettled - media reports alone recently would tell you that Bentley, Santa Cruz, Samba and Oiijer could be off for pastures new (if they get their way).

And those are only the players you know about.....

Most Media Reports are a load of crap. Reports are linking:

Brad to Villa

Nelsen to City

Samba to City

Warnock looking elsewhere

Bentley to Liverpool/Spurs/Chelsea

Roque to United

If that was the case the new manager wont have a f***in team to pick let alone manage!

Blimey John, talk about being a doom merchant. Inevitably, when a manager leaves there is always talk of some players being unsettled especially as we haven't appointed anyone else yet. I think you need to relax a little. Whoever comes in will inevitably bring their own players in anyway.

Every player has their price and if a few leave this summer, so be it. We always seem to recover. Whatever happens, we're blue and white forever which is why I can accept whatever happens in the future (apart from Wwb! :P).

A bloke who looked uncannily like Zico was spotted buying a kebab on Darwen St last night. He was overheard talking to his mate about the European Championships but clammed up when he thought people were listening. Whoever he was, he didn't have an East Lancs accent. He paid cash and was wearing blue shoes. Any mileage in this, Nicko?

I think there lies ya answer

So in summary:

Bilic - Despite only holding one high profile job, he is doing immensely well and knows his stuff. Not only this, he has a certain vibe around him and has great motivational skills.

Laudrup - Took Getafe to the final of the Copa Del Rey and QF of the UEFA Cup, was one of the best players in the world.

Henk Ten Cate - Has been everywhere, it seems. Assistant at Chelsea and Barcelona, manager at Ajax and considered one of the most influential "behind the scenes" assistants in the world. Has many connections and contacts.

Paul Ince - A world famous player and new, young manager. Has passion to achieve and has performed well with lower league clubs.

Sam Allardyce - Kept Bolton in the Premier league comfortably for several years. When he left, they plummeted. Led them into Europe regularly and can "wheel and deal". Newcastle is the only blemish on his record.

Steve McClaren - Won a cup and reached the UEFA Cup final with Middlesborough, joined England and failed horribly. Has a point to prove and is not wanted by a majority of supporters.

Plus Sam also player managed:

Limerick and guided the League of Ireland team to promotion by topping the first division with a number of points to spare in 1991–92 in his only season at the club.

Obviously the highlight of his career

Paul Ince has been interviewed - last week - and thinks he is getting it.

However he has NO coaching qualifications.

Rovers have contacted the Premier League to see if there is a way round it.

Ince is enrolling in a coaching course this week and that might get through the loophole.

In the meantime there are still scheduled interviews with two candidates at least next week.

If I say who there will be a betting frenzy and I don't want that.

The only clue I could give is that I will be playing 'Where's Wally?' tomorrow...

so if blackburn have contacted the premierleague to see if there is a way around paul ince does this mean we want him to be our manager??

if they said we could with shearer surely with ince we could aswell-or is it different??

Don't tell me it's going to rain.

Not a good day.

Stuff about the takeover possibly stalling.

Bentley mouthing off.

Manager quest dragging on.

MCMC hope you've still got that rope.

hurray. ince... so we have no idea what he can do. no coaching skills and will 100% surely leave as soon as he has a chance. no point at all. appointing him his a lose-lose situation.

Shearer has been doing courses for two years.

Ince hasn't even been to one of the serious ones for a day as far as I am aware.

This is all very strange.

Nicko, just wondering what your take was on Bentley's comments today?

Most fans knew he was likely to be gone this season, but to come out with comments like these and at a time where the club is looking to find a new manager in order to bring some stability, i find it a disgrace.

He said that he knew some clubs were after him. We all know Bentley has a huge ego, do you think he may have been tapped up in a way by some clubs? His agent knowing the interest in him and coming out with these comments?

Do you also think him coming out with such strong comments about wanting to leave asap will have an impact on his sale price? I fear the comments today will have knocked a few million off his value, if players are desperate to leave clubs tend to come in with lower offers.

They could have course be old comments edited by the media to create a stir....but good riddance if he does want to go.

Theres a video interview on the sky website, they aren't old comments.

Disgraceful behaviour by Bentley. Looks like the ego has taken over again.

But hey if he wants to move on and in all likelyhood ruin his career so be it.
