speeeeeeedie Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Something that often occurs to me, has anyone seen anything on the internet recently about Dan Williams other legitimate business interests? Still that same bloomin' college graduation type snap whenever anyone refers back to him. The last I heard, and posted on here some time ago, was that he had failed in a bid to buy the almost bankrupt Rochester Rhino's of the USL Divison 1 (USA 2nd tier). He cited a lack of capital amongst his reasons.

USRoverME Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 None of these guys have coaching certificates...like someone else we could mention. You mean sir Alex is in the running?
spencey7 Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 All togerther now "Are you Vinjay indisguise?" :-) Pardon? What part of my earlier post do you object to?
nicko Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 An interesting 'line' although it is unconfirmed. McClaren plans to bring in an ex-Rovers as part of his management team, sounds like a wise move. I don't know if it was brought up at today's interview, I wasn't inside or even outside for that matter [ ] but I presume it was raised. Quite a clever idea...although I don't know who that could be.
nicko Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 You mean sir Alex is in the running? That was meant to stay a bwoody secwet...

Bet Lynch?
Pugg Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 although I don't know who that could be. Well forget your money making scams for now and find out!

nicko Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Newell would be the obvious candidate i guess. A Shearer spy?
nicko Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 It's got to be Faz. Good call...I don't know if it's right, but good call.
kingsleyamis Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Several posters have requested that I find out what's happening with Michael [brian] Laudrup. I've not been ignoring you, but I have had a shocking waste of time trying to track his agent down. I contacted the number on his website and it rang out, I rang his FIFA mobile number and the guy who answered said it wasn't his phone, I called his Luxembourg office again and was put on to his assistant, who was nice and gave me his office number in Barcelona. I spoke to a rather camp chap [is it Kingsley's day job?] and he said that the agent would call me back...but he knew nothing of Blackburn Rovers and Laudrup. Don't say we don't try at this end. And you thought we spent all day in the boozer making this stuff up. Really, Nicko, just stop calling me. I thought I'd escaped your incessant queries about who to put your money on by hiding out in Barcelona, but it turns out that was too just good to be true...
Sandiway Blue Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 A Shearer spy? No i just work at a local factory.... i`ll get my coat.
gbax Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Pardon? What part of my earlier post do you object to? None at all, its just "The "ambition" shown by the board here is laughable" (and the Trustees) was his favoutiete subject and he's typed something very similar on the Blackburn Tel. web site this morning! He will be in a hissy fit about whats going on.
Head Rover Heels Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 It's got to be Faz. I'd quite happily stake quite a bit of money on that.
Lurid Coat Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Elie Baup - No idea who this man is, but apparently he wants the job... Reel him in, at this point in time I'd be happy with anyone who ISN'T McClown, Ince or BFS. And, to be honest, I'm actually beginning to slightly warm to the thought of BFS as Rovers manager, which speaks volumes about the other candidates (apart from HTC, who I believe would be excellent).
USABlue Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Paul Ince has been interviewed - last week - and thinks he is getting it. And just how the hell did Rovers pull that off without the whole world knowing it. Despite comments that MK Dons had not even been approached as of a day or so ago. Pretty slick. I deffo would not bet now (even if I could) if we can be that stealthy with this process.
nicko Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 On a quick side-note... Jean Makoun, the midfielder Sparky looked at in a dreamy moment, has just joined Lyon for £10 million.

We probably all agree that a likely addition would be Faz, didn't do that well last time though when he was coach at Ewood. He will be available of course. I believe McClaren knows Shearer and apparently Al isn't capable of handling a no.1 job? I always think of number twos when I look at him now. Shame that they are not helping you out Nicko by at least hinting where they are meeting. Perhaps we should be looking in that place that Shane Warne was returfed? I'm sure if any of us spots a candidate we'll be on here to let you know ......
Blue n White Rover Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 WE WANT HENK! Altogether now "WE WANT HENK!" Has he landed from Barbados yet? Might pay a visit down to that russian geezer down the Bridge to sort this out That really does annoy me he has millions of pounds to pay off Henk but he doesn't and just goes to show how much belief Chelsea have in there new manager. If they are good enough they wouldn't give a flying monkeys where Henk went. The mentality for such a big money spending club should be "we can and will beat everyone". Not fear the club he goes to (which I hope is Rovers) Pathetic F***ers

Despite comments that MK Dons had not even been approached as of a day or so ago. Pretty slick. I deffo would not bet now (even if I could) if we can be that stealthy with this process. The whole world thinks there has been NO approach for Ince. Just like the whole world had Henk signed for Panathinaikos last Friday. What am I charging for this?
promoted2001 Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Why hasn't Henk come out and say its not true? Or has he had his head buried in the sand for the past few weeks?
Roversider Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I'm just wondering Nicko, if the Rovers are being this effective in hiding away from the press, do they have any other surprise candidates other than Allardyce, McClaren, Ince and Ten Cate? Guess that might have to be more a suspicion than a fact. Hope JW is still happy with his pool of candidates .....
Mozzer Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 nicko your probably the only person who has said he aint signed-i believe you, but loads of sites are saying he has signed.. their website reported that michael laudrup was named their manager tho didnt they a couple weeks ago??
