yeah i do and i hated them both!

For me an away shirt should be a totally different alternative to the home shirt.

Many things before the kit.

1 - new manager

2 - his backroom staff

3 - Bentley! Sell or stick?

4 - Other unsettled players (if any)

5 - Transfer targets

6 - Takeover

7 - Kit

7-price of chicken balti pies

8-kit

To be honest the colour of next seasons kit is the last thing on peoples mind, especially mine, because right now I wouldn't give a flying monkeys if we had a pink or rainbow coloured kit. All I care about right now is the next man to lead our club!

Someone at work today was moaning that we had to travel to Sunderland on boxing day when Newcastle play Wigan on the same day and how the games should be local around Christmas time... normally, I admit, it's a bit of bad planning but who gives a **** when there are much more important things going on at the moment!

I am seriously astonished that the board have even interviewed Mclown. What has he done in his managerial carer to suggest he is even a decent manager?

If he gets the Job then im afraid it is time for the Trust to sell up asap & Mr Williams to follow. I could have put up a better list of realistic candidates than Mclaren , BFS & Ince. A very bad couple of weeks have got even worse with the news that the wolly with the brolly has got within a handshakes distance of the managers Job.

This news makes me plead with the BFS option; and he was about my 5th choice out of about 10.

They have to interview all candidates, it is politeness for a start. Also if the person appointed screws up they can at least talk again to those who were interviewed before. You do not in Rovers situation burn your bridges.

Im not suprised we interviewed McClown. He won a cup at Boro and also got to the UEFA cup final. He also likes to bring the youth squad through.

YES he did bad with England, but England are pants at international level anyway. He is worth an interview - I DONT want him, but I can see why he was interviewed.

As regards nicko's Cryptic comments, he mentioned airports and that he might be chasing round them so that would indicate someone flying in.

1) Could Shearer and/or Rovers have had a rethink?.

2) A development regarding HTC?

3) Could Bilic be in the frame?

4) Could Laudrup be in the frame?

Nicko did try to play it down rather quickly when someone mentioned Bilic's name.

(Said Revidge grasping desperately at straws)

Im hoping the development is Bilic. Tomorrow would be a sensible time for him to come for talks, day after his team has played and then he can get back and prepare for the quarter finals.

No Chance...............but like you my fingers are crossed!

Just had a quick look at the Rovers manager market on Betfair and whilst I was watching there was a small amount of activity on Billy Davies, someone taking up the the remaining bets available at 13.5.

He's now available at just 13 making him clear 4th favourite behind Ince, BFS and WWB.

Hope it's just his relatives making some dosh.

Barry has gone on holiday...but Sidwell will go to Villa. Price agreed.

Mensah and Wigan is possible, but very expensive.

How much is the Sidwell fee and whens it looking like hapenning? We need to get the ball rolling. As for Barry, it's disappointing but this is football and life goes on, no use moping and very few Villa fans I know of are doing so....the general view is 18m for Barry and we're doing very well for ourselves.

Sidwell is not Gareth Barry, he's a different player but he has a high tempo to his game and his comfortable with the ball....to me with or without Barry the team will be stronger, as other problems like defensively and goalkeeper and right back etc are areas which will be sorted. With or without Barry we have assists and goals....roll on the new season B)

Oh and we have your man Sparky first game, will be sure to smash his debut as their manager, the guy never has beaten MON since he came to Villa :D
