[Archived] Nicko's Thread Part 3

Recommended Posts

Off the radar all day today...don't read too much into it...if there's anything to report it might be later.

Ten Cate in the LET, the stuff in the Mail and the Sun?

Makes you wonder at times.

Once again, This is a public site which anyone can read. I can't quite understand why you are so shocked and suprised that stuff you write on here gets lifted. Surely it's fairly obvious that people will read stuff on here and post it elsewhere.

Also I though Sidwell was stonewall, 100% done deal to go to West Ham Nicko. Seem to recall that was the info you posted

I can't see how you can say it will be stronger, you may be improving on your right back position but to lose an influential player like Barry and replace him with an average player like Sidwell is going to be a set back.

If I was worried about losing Barry anymore I'd say so.

He wasn't the most important player last season, we have other players who we needed to keep at this club more than him and the only reason anyone is making such a huge deal of this is because now all of the people who told me he'd never play for England are eating their words, so many fans are on the Barry boat now.

Yeah he is a very good player, but he was a poor captain for his two years in the job (which clearly meant very little as it turns out...), he'd had plenty of periods of playing awful which everyones decided to wipe from memory, and believe men...for 18m quid...life will go on.

You don't know what Sidwells being brought in for either btw, funnily enough we do need to build a squad as well.

LET basically says that JW is off to meet a mystery European candidate over the next couple of days, and LET believes it is HTC !!

So nicko's absent today eh? Anybody else reckon the meeting must be at Nicko's house then! ;)

It can't be HTC then because he's been widely reported to be on the shortlist, he isn't a mystery.

Not necessarily - Just because he's on the short list, we don't know for a fact who it is that's being interviewed today - Hence it'd still be classed as a mystery. Although he was in Barbados, i'm sure something was posted about HTC flying to Holland either yesterday or the day before.

Either him, or someone at the European championships i would have thought.

I don't think that Nicko is surprised, just a bit annoyed that people take it from here and publish it as their own work !

Rubbish! All that hot air and self righteous indignation is for show. Does nobody rem the spitting image portrayel of the gentlemen of the national press? It's a good read normally but rem if Alan Nixon was all that bothered he'd not post on here at all! Can anybody tell me what he has to gain apart from a load of faceless internet geeks?

Use a bit of lateral thinking and consider that this link to the media is perfect for all sorts of items on nicko's agenda. Even without Scotty's opinion, slipping enemies and rivals a bum steer to discredit em being near the top of his list I'd wager...... (see Brownies post above.) ;)

btw.... I hope I haven't blown yer cover Alan. I would have PM'd you of course ..... but then again you've never pm'd me have you? B)

No, it can still be HTC, what they mean about 'mystery target' is that they knew Blackburn were meeting with McClaren yesterday, but they have no idea who they're going to meet today, its all a mystery. Anybody got Columbo's number?

He's not the manager of Olympique Lyonnais.

That is Alain Perrin - who I believed resigned his position from OL yesterday.

Does this mean I'm involved in the scam ?? Or just the fact that I mentioned what the LET have reported ?

Bit confused by my reference up top
