So is this guy a runner nicko? if not please tell us, well tell us anyway but we can always look at BFS and McClown in a different way if he's worse and was considered.

The name I have heard is so bad that I fear it is a wind-up although my source insists it is not.

Seriously - let's just stick with the short list previously worked out and mentioned.

I have no idea about Ten Cate for the reasons previously stated. When this is over I will explain more.

If this goes on much longer never mind Brad exhorting us on the phone to get our season tickets he's going to have to come round and coax us down to Ewood as we are all suffering from panic attacks.....................

OK.

The twist was news that John Williams was going to see someone who has not really been mentioned.

I had hoped it would be someone good - I have since established that it is a bit of a depressing one. I won't even name him as it's so bad.

It's been an odd day, perhaps historic if one or two things work out - but that is another story.

On the candidates still running - I can't take this other one seriously.

INCE - coaching badge problem being worked on.

ALLARDYCE - sweating.

MCCLCAREN - sweating.

TEN CATE - in the dark since I gave one of hid 'camp' the mother of all rollickings the other day. Frankly that line of commuincation is down.

Unbelieveable.

We actually make the effort to travel to another country to interview a potential boss - and we STILL can't find anyone decent.

This is set to be the worst managerial appointment in the history of the Premier League; never before at any club have I seen such an appalling list of candidates.

This new horror show - whoever he, she or it is - cannot possibly be worse than Allardyce or McClaren.

Or can he? Come on Nicko, tell us who it is, make this joke of a managerial appointment even more funnier. Or upsetting, maybe...

Can you tell us if he have experience from english football?

Guys enough is enough.

Leave Nicko alone. he has told you he would rather not say.

If he says it isn't worth worrying about, then leave it at that.

What was Hughes' record when he arrived at Blackburn?

Almost took Wales to a major finals... and? Did he have experience with spotting players, purchasing etc?

We have:

Ince: Got a club promoted and won a trophy. Did an impossible job by keeping Macca up.

McClaren- Won the treble with United as No2, Boro won a trophy for first time in history AND got to UEFA Cup final, youth set up used well too.

BFS- the man took Bolton to PL, then kept them in the top 8 on a shoe string budget, he left them in FIFTH place and took them to a final.

Cate- Won lots of trophies as a no2, won titles in Holland and plays good football.

How is the above a depressing list when you compare what we got in Hughes? Aside from BFS, I am happy with any of the above.

David Pleat?

Someone sarcastically mentioned his name to me this morning. One of the many jokes people at our making at our expense at the moment.

Sadly, I am not finding much funny right now.

Nicko, is it a foreign guy or a Brit abroad? Do you think after the meeting that he's a runner?

Peron the ex Pompey boss is freshly unemployed and has been mentioned on this thread today. Didn't Paul Le Guen the Rangers disaster also not recently get the tin tack for relegating PSG?

Ffs, this is agony.
