Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 The Shearer turn around wouldn't surprise me, we got away with a "close escape" before but if he's now interested... Oh God...Great player but has the personality of a plank of wood.

j166429 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 BRFC Management So my conspiracy theory is gaining momentum by the second!!
Saf Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 not sure about Mcclaren but Allardyce has been watching it through ITV's studios with his feet up yeh with a cheese burger in his hand
novella Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Are you their PA or something? maybe he's alan shearer

It will be full of Championship players at best.
ace Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 The Shearer turn around wouldn't surprise me, we got away with a "close escape" before but if he's now interested... Oh God...Great player but has the personality of a plank of wood. Anyone notice the vehemence with which the ex-players( Alan S and Hansen) attacked the French Manager for his team's performance last night...whereas the manager (MON) thought it might be down to the players!
JAL Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Ok bit of a conspiracy theory here. Are we sure that Williams definitely didn't go to see Shearer yesterday? Is Nicko trying to keep the story under his hat. Are Nicko's posts about the mystery candidate being totally uninspirational his way of throwing everybody of the scent? Or am I clutching at straws? Williams obviously offered the job to someone out their in Switzerland, is Maclaren working in Switzerland.
novella Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 To sum up in my opinion: BFS - Decent with Bolton, Not too good with wages, but with the right board could work wonders on a budget. Forget newcastle, he wasnt given enough time. Possibly boring football but with us the possibility to work with a harder working team. Mcclaren - Again forget international level, he was at boro for five years and has a decent record with them. steve gibson mentioned that it was the best era in boros history even if him and mcclaren didnt see eye to eye. again possibly boring football, but more attacking that BFS Ince - Good relationship with Inter Milan (Moratti loved him), been around. players will relate to him with him being a young manager. apparently plays exciting football. Otherwise Inexperienced.
Cocker Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Bit of as side note... Jo move in doubt And another - Sidwell to Villa Looks like Barry will be off then.
Mike Graham Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 BFS !! McBrolly !! Incey !! what the hell are JW and Co up to if the above 3 are the shortlist. God help us, we the becoming a laughing stock of Lancashire.
RevidgeBlue Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Does it not seem from JW's comments as though nicko's "stinker" must have been someone involved with the France or Italy game? Which would make it Joe 90 or Donadoni. Meanwhile nicko has done nothing really to quell the general feeling on here that the person with "issues" (coaching badges) who has nearly got it is Ince. I'd be delighted with that, the only problem is that if Ince does as well as Hughes he'll be off as well in another three years but that's probably the best we can hope in the meantime for unless we get in new owners who are prepared to give the manager some financial backing.
nicko Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Bit of as side note... Jo move in doubt Nice to see the charlatans at the Premier League actually using their own rules after Tevez, Mascherano were allowed in. Not to mention Anderson joining Man U a year ago when he is owned by Jorge Mendes and chums. Hilarious.
vintageadidas Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 BFS - Decent record, not the fans favourite. Could do a pretty decent job without exciting the crowds. McBrolly - We will become the most hated team in England. Ince - interesting one, could do very well - could just as easy get us relegated.
nicko Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Does it not seem from JW's comments as though nicko's "stinker" must have been someone involved with the France or Italy game? I'm not sure it is Ince, but I think it is meandering that way. I wouldn't worry about the 'three good years and he leaves' scenario. I would worry about the 'one good year and he leaves' scenario which seems to have applied to Macclesfield and MK Dons... Mind you, ONE good season would be a good start for all concerned.
Earlydoors Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 BLACKBURN chairman John Williams made a flying visit to the European Champi-onships yesterday to hold talks with another contender for the manager's job. Williams flew to Switzerland to speak with a candidate on the club's shortlist, but the Rovers chief has refused to confirm whether the man in question is currently managing one of the countries taking part in the tournament, or working as a pundit in the media. Ok it could be a pundit, but assuming its a manager at the Euro's who didn't have a game yesterday and is based in Switzerland that means Group A so Switzerland ...Kobi Kuhn No chance Czech Rep.....Karel Bruckner Disappointing tournament but Czech have been brilliant for a decade..he's 68 though Portugal...is obviously Scolari Turkey..........Fatih Terim has been mentioned on this forum So it must be Kobi Kuhn or Karel Bruckner How my doing Nicko ? Also is Ten Cate still being interviewed today ?
RevidgeBlue Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 No thats wrong Pafell. 2000 spotty know-nowt teenagers who in a fine display of lynch mob mentality signed a petition on something called facebook who don't want him. Blimey gordon, you're as anti-Ince as the facebookers were Allardyce!
3rdpillar Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Are you their PA or something? Don't ask for the name. I dont know IF he has being reconsidered, only that his position has changed. I am only assuming it has to do with a route out of his committments.

Come on Rev, Ince wasnt in Switzerland yesterday covereing the Euro 2008 was he ? Betting is suspended on Rovers new manager someone has had the job handed to them formerly out there with a red herring thrown to put people off the scent, thats probably why nicko suspects its a wind up so he wont mention the name. I think its good work by JW in throwing a decoy, but it must now be a straight fight between big Sam and Maclaren. As the club could lose a lot of support in appointing big Sam, my moneys on Maclaren, he is out there in Switzerland isnt he?
gumboots Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 And they won't lose support with McClaren. he has NO supporters on here whereas Allardyce can summon some
