roversmum Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I wonder why the last part of that article is written in classical Latin? I wondered that as well. Does it add anything to what was previously said - if anyone can understand it? Had enough for a while. This is all seriously annoying. Am off to do something useful - there must be something......... Resigned to BFS, WwB or Mr Ince.

Blue n White Rover Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 On the plus side we currently reside 3rd in the league. Improvement on last season when we were 4th, this time last year! Still no-one wants to manage us
Atomicrover Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Leo Beenhakker is terrifying. If he came and yelled at me I would [a] wet my pants Run until he said I could stop! Wasn't he in "Prisoner of Zenda"?
rebelmswar Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 http://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/english/...ne-1413887.html I see you Big Sam haters have managed to make the press.

The user supposed to replace the text with his content! Looks pretty unprofessional to publish it that way.
roversmum Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Good heavens. I was just about to say he looks as if he should be tucked up in an armchair by the fire then found out he's only a few years older than me. I can feel one of my turns coming on. Going to lie down........
spencey7 Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Continuing the Star Wars theme, now that Emporer Beenhakker is in the frame... I'm bored... Can you guess?
rebelmswar Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Continuing the Star Wars theme, now that Emporer Beenhakker is in the frame... I'm bored... Can you guess? I never thought someone could make Sam look so presentable.
robborover Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Continuing the Star Wars theme, now that Emporer Beenhakker is in the frame... I'm bored... Can you guess? Spot on Spence! Hughes=Anakin?
gumboots Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 http://www.herald.ie/sport/soccer/english/...ne-1413887.html I see you Big Sam haters have managed to make the press. A backward step after managing Newcastle! Remind me who finished above whom in the league. Remind me who's won trophies more recently. He should be honoured that our club is considering him, not the other way round.
PAFELL Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Leo Beenhakker is terrifying. If he came and yelled at me I would [a] wet my pants Run until he said I could stop! We'll fight you at Old trafford, We'll fight you at anfield, And when you come to Ewood, We'll kick you off the park The bully boys are back.
nicko Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I think I would stand by your beds... It wouldn't surprise me if there was an approach going on right now. Keep you posted.

hawkiiz Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 this sickens me. beenhakker is not more than 65. thats not old! but he have no knowledge to the EPL (other than in general) so i wouldnt choose him. and he is also moving around every other year. please, sweet nicko. bring som knockout news!
my_name_is_Earl Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 On a side issue, does anyone else feel that the new manager needs to make more out of our youth academy? After all, without the large amounts of money floating around at Ewood right now, I'd think this would be a perfect opportunity to invest more into our youth system. I got the impression towards the end of last season that Hughes had finally decided to show an interest (looking at bringing in new young faces, contract extensions for some). However, although I'm not a huge admirer at all, could McClown be the one to do this or even another experienced coach such as Beenhakker? Could Ince or BFS help to improve this particular situation. Regardless of who comes in, our academy needs much more work. I accept the fact that sometimes these players simply aren't up to it. However, in the four years of Hughes reign, I dont think he gave the acadamy a fair crack of developing future first teamers (aside from Derbs).
dellinsert Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 With this piece of news, how long before the site goes down again?
cn_barlow Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I think I would stand by your beds... It wouldn't surprise me if there was an approach going on right now. Keep you posted. For Emperor Beenhakker?
PAFELL Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 With this piece of news, how long before the site goes down again? imminent - Its the wolly with brolli
Bobby G Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Between the four options on the table, Id plum for Big Sam at this moment...Safest hands, knows a bargain, disciplined, and has something to prove after Newcastle, and then Wolly with the Brolly, followed by Ince who doesnt excite me one bit and Beenhakker who I think wont have the kind of drive needed right now...
