PAFELL Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Between the four options on the table, Id plum for Big Sam at this moment...Safest hands, knows a bargain, disciplined, and has something to prove after Newcastle, and then Wolly with the Brolly, followed by Ince who doesnt excite me one bit and Beenhakker who I think wont have the kind of drive needed right now... I can just see the new club shop stocked with blue an white brollis and zimmer frames
dinglebasher Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I can't see it being Burnleyhacker if we only interviewed him yesterday. Sounds like Ince to me.
rossyste Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 somebody wants 5k on big fat sam on betfair.....................please god no
vintageadidas Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Reading between the lines - "approach" means someone already employed. "Offer" would be unemployed. I am going for Ince or the "Mystery" (if it is Leo BeenHakker)
dellinsert Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 somebody wants 5k on big fat sam on betfair.....................please god no Eh? I can't see that.
broadsword Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 If it's an "approach" then it will be someone currently employed. So that's "no" to Sam and Wally. Unless of course it's some fiendish plan to get some traffic on BetFair.
rossyste Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Eh? I can't see that. part of it was taken immediately..........rest was withdrawn
Bobby G Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Better Sam than Ince. Id rather long ball football takes us to 5th next season...
dinglebasher Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 They obviously had Ince or Darts Player in the bag and tried to get someone involved with the Euros on board at the last minute. I guess the interview yesterday was a non-starter and so they've returned to one of these two. Pure guesswork obviously, but it seems to make sense, especially with the ominous quote from JW about the possibility of going against the fans' wishes. Might have to put in an order for those earpieces JW.....
Earlydoors Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Doesn't that mean not BFS or WWTB ? Ince or Beenhakker, or both !

joey_big_nose Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 I reckon the approach is for Incey to be our new Sith Lord's right hand Darth. Might need to switch over from the "Final Countdown" to the "Imperial March" for the music when the teams come out.
Sysagent Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 "Then it is ince - if there are only 3 on the list" Or we all have been led a merry dance these past few weeks...
Mr Maureen Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Between the four options on the table, Id plum for Big Sam at this moment...Safest hands, knows a bargain, disciplined, and has something to prove after Newcastle, and then Wolly with the Brolly, followed by Ince who doesnt excite me one bit and Beenhakker who I think wont have the kind of drive needed right now... How long have you been a Rovers supporter Bobby,12 months ? Your forgetting Big Spam played for one of our main rivals only 10 miles from Ewood, Bolton,he also managed Bolton,I hate Bolton. He managed Newcastle and was sacked.Alardyce is tarnished in many ways. McClaren well I could write a book but I really don't think he has a chance.Although his mouth full of yellow plastic teeth could be a crowd puller. Ince is an arrogant gobby manager of 3rd division Milton Keynes. He hates small town 2 bit Blackburn Rovers. Those 3 are the worst possible candidates for the job.The interviews and the press have to simply be red herrings.
Parsonblue Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Sadly, I becoming resigned to the fact that we've gone for Ince. I'll bet the likes of Santa Cruz, Tugay, McCarthy etc can't wait to get back and hear Ray Mathias barking orders to them. I fear there might be a credibility issue here, particularly if things don't go well early season. As someone who goes to every game, home and away, I'll hope for the best, give them 100 per cent support, but right now fourth from bottom looks like it might be a good result come the end of next May.

That is a bit negative - we do not yet know what players are staying - going or coming in. Maybe some of the players feel they have a point to prove to Mark Hughes and play harder
gumboots Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Mr Maureen I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels like this about the 3 supposed candidates. I can't believe the level of acceptance of our lot from some fans on here. I know that realistically we can do nothing to influence it, but we don't have to feel that this is what we deserve. It isn't.
Poita Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Everything is pointing towards Ince at the momment. Please tell us otherwise nicko
dinglebasher Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Even if it is someone we don't want, i.e. Allardyce, then we still need to get behind the boys. Crowds of 17,000 aren't gonna keep Santa and the rest of the decent players hanging around. Come on JW (or Nicko), this has been the unbearably tense for nearly three weeks now, not sure how much more I can take....

They'll be out at the first chance they get if they don't like the appointment and I know they are under contract before anyone else says it. doesn't stop many leaving clubs they want out of though

dinglebasher Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 That rarely happens in reality, didn't happen at Newcastle when darts player got the job up there, won't happen at Ewood. Like Bentley said, he'd already decided he was going before Hughes went.
