Excellent game between Holland and France, really enjoyed it. The dutch have by far played the best football this tournament and its going to take a lot to stop them if they keep playing like they are.

Ooijer has been immense the past two games.

My actual man of the match from what i saw wasn't a dutch player but it was France's Ribery. The guy is a top top player who worked his socks off last night and looked dangerous everytime he got the ball. The guy is immense.

Having seen all the matches so far, I think it's safe to say that Holland - France has been the best one. What an amazing display of talent and skill by the Dutch side! Somehow I doubt that they'll be able to continue in this manner, though, but here's hoping they will!

Funny to see how Ooijer has had Toni and Henry in his back pocket during the EC, but had to warm the bench for large parts of the 2007/08 season. Always rated Andre, and I'm adamant that he's our best defender.

Must say that France v Netherlands is usually one of the fixtures in euro's or World Cups that is a must see. I have great regard for the styles of both teams but I've got to say that the Dutch have been my favourite 'second' team since the 1974 days of Johann Cruyff and Rinus Michells ideal of 'total football'.

Apparently the big problem with em is that they always seem to peak too early and then fade away as the reallity of cooping up the two opposing factions in one hotel and one training ground for a month begins to turn counter productive. Maybe this time with their big players being predominantly white and in the majority their prejudices will not come to the fore.

Struggled at times against Henry, but did well overall. Quality defender, lacks a bit of pace - but him and Samba is a good pairing.

Hoping to see Holland B beat Romania in the last game, with Italy finally scoring some more goals against France to pull through.

Looking forward to seeing Spain this afternoon. Its a shame the draw has been done the way it has as a Spain - Holland final would, on current form atleast, have been a very good game.

David Villa's price has gone up another few million after that last minute goal.

Premiership his next destination? Let's hope so!

Would fit into Arsenal quite well for me with Fabregas assisting him. Could be another Torres.

Spanish were lucky today have to admit BUT still haven't convinced me as yet as there defence did look very shakey after Puyol went off. Better teams will exploit this and could capitalise on it.

What the Sweden v Spain game showed is that a Hidiously expensive Dutch manager completely mucked up his tactics in the Russia v Spain game. The ageing Swedes were willing to get stuck in and compete so Spain couldn't play their rapier-like diagonals through the Swedish defense like they did against the stately Russians.

The other lesson is that apart from Torres, Villa and Fabregas, Spain aren't that much cop.

Stupid post- It clearly shows your ignorance of all things none premiership. Xavi, Iniesta & Silva are all Top Top Players. Puyol & Ramos are quality players who look out of form

i think holland , russia or croatia could all win euro 2008

i backed holland before the competition-but with the way russia and croatia are looking now, they could win it or be close..

ooijer has looked class in this competition-he handled top class strikers very well-hopefully he will stay..

Is that smug approach the best you can do?

Lets face it, you’re knowledge of players outside the premiership is NON -existent.

In the words of Sir Alan – “You haven’t got a bloody clue”.

Yes and you watched Spain v Sweden

Yes I watched the game.

Yes- apart from the front-two none of the Spanish had particularly good games. Sweden got their tactics spot-on.

However, your assumption; That based on 90 minutes of football that Silva, Xavi & Iniesta are not class verging on world class players, is a rather ignorant and somewhat myopic stance. A bit of a give-away to how good that midfield trio are; is that they are keeping the outstanding Fabregas out of the starting XI.

Those three players would fetch around the 100 million mark would Barca & Valencia so choose to sell them.

Tonight's game between The Ottoman Empire and The Republic of Czechoslovakia (tipping the cap to David 'I don't know what day it is' Pleat) was the best yet. Absolutely stunning comeback.

Casillas, Xavi and Iniesta could hardly be described as not 'much cop'.

Spain are not much cop and I'll stick with that.

With Aragones as the Manager, they are much less than the sum of their parts.

Had Russia put in a performance in like the one against Greece, they would have caused Spain serious problems but Hidink played straight into their hands by getting his players to do the old England-style international statues thing.
