Well done Den!

Interesting to see a number of people's positions being vindicated/ not:

- No votes in this poll for selling Sav was a mistake

- Extrapolate Vogel from 6 games to 36 and 36 points become 218 and 7th place

- Considering how poor/immobile the Admiral has been most of the season, that's not a bad total

- Jason not that much of a fans fave after all (but gets 3 times as many votes per goal as Benni does)

- Both Bert and Bentley probably lost out by putting in consistently high quality performances

- Ooijer must have had one of the highest votes per game played ratios

- Dunny has been highly regarded by many

- Warnock's consistently high performances are recognised

- Samba riding high despite not being as with it on a number of occasions

- Santa magnificent

- Friedel the master of all except St Andrews.

Cheers Den.

Clear there's a lot of hard work gone into that.

So team of the season (based on a general balancing of the two lists):

Santa Roberts

Pedersen Dunn Toogs* Bentley

Warnock Samba Ooijer Emerton

Friedel

* or possibly Bert mk3 center midfield, Ooijer at RB and Zurab in the centre.

Did we play that particular lineup in any game?

Tut tut Den. No poll for Chelsea away.

Taken from the Chelsea preview thread here after the game (where we once again had Brad to thank for a clean sheet and a point.

How come we never had a MOTM poll for this game ??

Because I was away and no-one else put the poll up.

So if Brad loses out on the end of season MOTM countup by 1 game it'll all be your fault. :glare:

 Yeah.

Can't get decent mods any more. One preview, I say one preview, that's all I asked. :D;)

Bert mk3! I love it. Each new version keeps getting better, I'm hoping to see alot more of Bert mk3 next season.

One thing that does show is just how disappointing Benni´s season was. Our former star striker was only our 13th most important player according to that. Even accounting for his style of play not being popular among some fans...that is pathetic.

I really don't see how Samba has more votes than Bentley, but this is a very interesting summary. Good stuff.

I'd say it's because when our defence does a good job then a lot of the time people pick a centre back, but what with Nelsen's injury the most regular centre back we've had is Samba, so a lot of the votes have been skewed towards him. Still, overall he has had a good season bar a few blips.

The vast majority of Samba's votes came early season. We shouldn't confuse this MOTM vote as a player of the season vote either. It's possible that some players were far more consistent than i.e. Samba, but got few votes as MOTM.
