Guest Kamy100 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Rovers have continued their search for a new manager this week. On Monday chairman John Williams confirmed that Rovers had received 40 expressions of interest for the job and after a board meeting the club had drawn up a shortlist of people they would like to interview. The process of contacting those people has began and it looks like it could be another week or so before any manager is appointed. John Williams has stressed that it is important to name the manager as quickly as possible but not at the cost of rushing the decision and making the wrong appointment. Reports in the media suggest that Alan Shearer, Sam Allardyce and Paul Ince are the leading contenders for the job. Opinion between fans is divided about who they would like to take over although it does appear that there is not a huge surge of support for Sam Allardyce.
