Following the news that Alan Shearer declined the offer to be short listed for the vacant manegerial post at Ewood, THE TIMES are reporting that another candidate Henk ten Cate has been appointed the new manager of Panathinaikos.

The former Chelsea coach was the fans favourite after Shearer dropped out of the race, will Slavan Bilic fans second favourite candidate be the next to drop out.

As each likely candidates drops out, the odds are shortening for former Bolton and Newcastle manager Sam Allardyce, to be appointed manager at Ewood.
