ANDY JOHNSON...Everton will sell at the right price and once they have a replacement...there will be a story on this in the People tomorrow...Rovers not mentioned anywhere in it.

JASON ROBERTS...If QPR have £3 million plus £28,000-a-week wages that could happen...but don't hold your breath.

DAVID BENTLEY...Very interesting new club keen on him...that will have to keep for 24 hours.

JAMES MILNER...To repeat...Villa offering 7, Newcastle wanting 9.

STEVE DAVIS...Sounds like an agent revving it up, but I would not dismiss it totally as a prospect.

So we're stuck with Roberts, well it could be worse

New club wouldn't be Pompey would it??? or has the SWP saga started rolling? I see FANSFC are saying barry out Bentley in. Guess I'll have to buy a paper tomorrow.

PS Nicko I have no idea who you are not being on here long, but must say, its good to have someone keeping us informed of potential transfers and take-overs, nice one pal!!

Are there actually any clubs in the Premiership left that could be linked with Bentley? I'm guesing international here, Atletico Madrid maybe?

Going on the kind of negative press the club seems to be getting lately, i wouldnt be suprised to see Bentley linked with the 'bigger teams' like Stoke, Hull and Sunderland tomorrow!:lol:

Newcastle United want £9 million for Milner.

Aston Villa willing to pay £7 million.

I don't see Rovers topping that...or going close to what the Toon want.

I can't believe that valuation. No wonder english clubs buy foreign. Milner has decent pace and good work-rate, but he has no skill or endproduct. He's mediocre at best and barely worth 2 mill.

I agree.

£7m and he isn`t even a regular international.

I think the Andy Johnson departure depends if they can bring in Podolski.

Milner will go to Villa in the end, he still has his heart set on it after missing out on the move last time.

Hopefully with more interest in Bentley, this could start a bidding war or at least increase the transfer fee.

If QPR offer 3m for Roberts, I'll drive him there myself!

DAVID BENTLEY...new club quite interesting...could have the cash.

ANDY JOHNSON...there will be a bidding war, but I don't think you are in it.

VUJKEVIC [OR WHATEVER]...is ok but possibly over-priced.

There will be a right back target - one of a handful of possibles - in the People.

Plus the whole Bentley tale.

And the takeover news latest. I don't want to build it up too much in case I 'deflate' anyone [in joke], but it is significant.

If anything is cut or needs explaining I will do so tomorrow.

Milner's quite skillful actually, his problem is he hasn't got any pace whatsoever.

That is correct I'd say. I think we're buying a right back who'll go past him if we get Milner. People are quite pleased that he might be coming back, obviously I'm not as impressed cause of the fee but he is a fans favourite at Villa and not that well liked at Newcastle it sounds so good move for all.

If thats true than we should be worried. Never liked managers who buy a player based on a few decent games in a international tournament.

Absolutely - I would much rather Paul Ince chose someone who had just had a shocking performance in an international tournament!!!

Prepared to meet the price?

I was referring to last week's story about Nabeel Chowdery being 'deflating' news...

The latest news is an interesting development.

No more word on that just now...

You can make money on the Burnley manager by backing Motherwell to win the Scottish Masters on Sky.

They were 11-4 earlier. I don't think you can get that price now. ;)

So he's playing masters football instead of trying to sign players? (trying being the keyword) Don't they go away on Monday?

'Both' not 'instead.'

Six balls in the air right now, four or five likely to land.

And about five or six goals tonight.

Happy days.

Hello Nicko ---

Just gone thru San Lorenzo de Almagro's supporters' site and it makes reference to an inminent faxed bid to arrive from a Premiership side for goalkeeper Agustin Orion? Have you heard any rumblings? It's not us, is it?

cheers,

b/w
