ebenrocks Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 good ideas by ince... Maybe recruiting a specialist GET YOUR BLOODY ACT TOGETHER coach for Pedersen too
b12_simon Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Can't say that's not overdue. We just need a specialist corner coach now. Just get a "pass-it-forward-to-someone-in-the-same-colour-jumper-as-yourself" coach and we're nailed on top 4. Hell I'll do it! good ideas by ince... Maybe recruiting a specialist GET YOUR BLOODY ACT TOGETHER coach for Pedersen too I'll do that too
rovgers Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 listened to a guy on talksport sat night, and he reckoned santa cruz was arsenal no1 target if adebayor moves on.i reckon if bentley is sold, and arsenal do have a clause in his contract santa cruz fee may be very low. I don't understand why would a clause in Bentley's contract have an effect on the Santa Cruz fee?!
rovgers Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 good ideas by ince... Maybe recruiting a specialist GET YOUR BLOODY ACT TOGETHER coach for Pedersen too He could work along side the 'Spurs will never sign you unless you get your act together' coach
broadsword Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I'm a bit confused here, how many coaches do we need? Ince will or won't take training? Ray Matthias will assist him Itchy Sox will coach the first team "Fitness expert" Mark Howard, who's worked at Newcastle, presumably they didn't pay any attention to him? Duncan Russell, who was at MK Dions, is he the masseur or the ex-army guy? The guy who is either the masseur or the ex-army guy. Anyone else? This is a big flipping team.

broadsword Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 And a specialist defensive coach as well? And a goal-keeping coach. So that will leave Ince, Itchy Sox and Matthias to coach the midfield and forwards? We only seem to be missing a tea-lady coach.

You never know, with all this coaching maybe Mokoena might learn to kick the ball straight... actually, there arnt enough coaches in the world

Claytons Left Boot Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Burnley making signing number four as we speak...the Dutchman. Arnie Van der Valk, works on a pig farm just outside Den Helder. Slops out. Signed for the Turf Moor canteen, not the side (although there's little difference).
b12_simon Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 How come you get 2 jobs? I want one! A "Hit a barn door with a banjo" coach for Roberts would be useful as well. You've found your vocation!

ManicRover Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Specialist defensive coach appointment being mooted. Lot's of ins and outs at Ewood. From the article “Along with Mark, we’ve brought in Duncan Russell from MK Dons. It means an extra body in the sports science department.” ...always hoped my boss would refer to me as "an extra body"...not exactly a ringing endorsement!
roversmum Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Grooby A Grooby coach? Whoa, hang on a minute. What's with all these Bolton Wanderers ex-staff? And who's going to be Reserve Team Manager? And who's the Coach Coach? I think I need a lie down.........................
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Knox on training: http://www.skysports.com/video/0,20285,12606_3789575,00.html

And who's the Coach Coach? I think I need a lie down......................... Mum, Make sure you lie down on the couch and not on the coach!
1864roverite Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Some members will find a negative in every aspect of life about Rovers, sad, so very sad
roversmum Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Mum, Make sure you lie down on the couch and not on the coach! Ha Ha! What's to do, 1864? If you were referring to me no need. Just fed up with the grandkids bringing home BWFC coaching leaflets. They weren't so interested in the school when I asked them for a donation to the Summer Fair (unlike Rovers)........................... Perhaps we need Happy Fans Coach............................
hawkiiz Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 if ince need help he should get his own coach so he can get them badges. seriously. no wonder why they need a lot of coaches.... they all come from mk dons or bolton or newcastle??? that cant be good.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I've not seen enough of Rigters to make my mind up, and neither has Ince. If he turns out to be of no use then fine - but the only way to really test that is to see him in first team action. Better to do that during pre-season. plus I would like to see the guy given a chance and he won't get that when the entire squad are together. You never know, he might shock you I've seen enough.
Mc Love Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Knox on training: http://www.skysports.com/video/0,20285,12606_3789575,00.html Well happy with what he said!
philipl Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 First time on for a while and I am very happy with how things are going at the moment.
Exiled in Toronto Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 Some members will find a negative in every aspect of life about Rovers, sad, so very sad Exactly, it seems Ince can't win with some on here. Bigger Sports Science dept that under Saint Mark Hughes - What do we need all that lot for? Defensive coach - Eh? Perhaps, just perhaps, our new manager is bringing some of what he experienced during a playing career at 3 of Europe's top clubs, clubs way out of our league, than what he had to make do with during his 18 month getting his feet wet in the lower leagues. One wonders what today's fans would have made of King Kenny not taking training, recruiting a coach from Wimbledon and making his fist signing a miniscule fullback from Blackpool.
Sandiway Blue Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 I must admit i could never understand why most clubs don`t have a coach for each position of defence, midfield and forwards. How can an ex striker tell a defender how to defend etc? I thought half of the problems last season were down to the defence not really defending as a team. Sure there were good INDIVIDUAL defensive displays but too few TEAM defensive displays. Definitely a good move by Ince.
