# the bed - Robbie Fowler.

I dont know what to think just now, but it gives out some strange signals.

Abiding memory of Fowler? - trying to snort up the touchline against Everton. That reminds me, is The Jubilee open again :o

One love - BRFC

This is not a good sign the board must be wondering what have they done.

Whats the worse thing that can happen?

It doesn't work out and he leaves, thats all.

It's not like he will be sitting on a huge contract is it, so we are not going to make a great loss.

It could work out that he gets himself fit and bangs a few crucial goals in, and is an asset of the pitch.

I don't think it's the signing of Fowler as such. It's the indication that this is the direction Ince is happy to go in. We all know one Robbie Fowler wont break us - but 3 or 4 might.

Does the trial of Fowler again not show just how little money our managers have to work with? We constantly rely on trialists or knock down deals, so I guess Fowlers' no different, but you do have to question the point in this.

I think the fact that no premiership club has been in for him for a season and a half tells the story.

YEAH! Let's burn Ewood down while we're at it. That'll learn 'em.

I reckon we all buy season tickets in cash and then don't turn up and then we all buy both the home and away kits and have Kishanishvilli written on the back and don't wear them. That'll teach them to mess with us!!!! :rover:;)

Just like we did here at work. To make our point we all came in for a days overtime but never clocked on. Management will never mess with us again!!!! ;):D

So are you seriously afraid of a team like this next season:

Grobelaar

Ooijer - Samba - Nelsen - Warnock

Mcmanaman - Barnes - Vogel - Gamst

Fowler - Santa Cruz

Subs: Derbyshire, Benni, Tony Adams, Brown

You've missed Phil Babb and the return of Jason McAteer

Was thinking the same thing. First Ince takes his staff with no Premier League expirence with him from Dons, then he starts looking for old mates in the game?! Can't say I'm suprised as this was just what I feared when we signed Ince in the first place.

Its a disaster waiting to happen and people will start to realize that once we are rock bottom after the first 10 this season..

Always thought Robbie Fowler was one of the best goalscorers there was but that was then this is now several years on, what concerns me and concerns many other Rovers fans is .....the thought process behind such actions like this one.

Is Ince and his team bereft of ideas, do they know that they must find and employ better players than what we currently have to be a success or is success just the signing of the contract and what will be will be because financially they know they'll be alright.

I know its low cost low risk but Fowler does not send out positive signals to supporters and players alike.

Ince and Rovers must do far better than this.

Nicko, here's one for you to get in the papers before anyone finds out;

Ricardo Rocha is having talks in Hull today about a possible move... don't know anymore details other than that though. but it's true.

Quite liking the Sky live choice of dates.

Hull City Vs Man City just before my birthday and then Rovers Vs Spuds a few days after my birthday :)

ANYONE UP FOR BOYCOTTING THE CLUB?????

:wstu:

Bye then.

I'd rather have true fans at Ewood than people who sulk at the slightest thing and want to callfor the new mangers' head before he's been given a chance. What harm is there in signing Fowler? It's not like he's going to be first choice is it?

Some of us remember the dark days of the old 3rd division with gates of 4 and 5 thousand. You have had something to moan about then

GET A GRIP!

the guy is fighting to be 5th choice, he was crap in his last season for liverpool first time round and has had 6-7 years of steadily becoming dreadful. Even with his fitness back it would take the first team coach crashing to get him anywhere near a game.....certainly would'nt be an impact sub with his pace.

Ince has just opened himself and the club up to ridicule.....need a statement that categorically states this is not a trial and just a situation where someone is trying to regain fitness.

To compare this with saying roque was a gamble is a joke, fella scored hat trick for paraguay week before we signed him.......even jeffers still had a little pace if nothing else...fowler is 100% in the nothing to offer department.

can only imagine fowler did his best yosser hughes impression to ince " Gissa a job " what a pointless stinker of signing

If it wasn't so depressing I'd have to laugh.

First of, does everyone understand Fowler hasn't signed... Think of all the "clunkers" Hughes allowed to come in on trial and never signed. In this case, tis not even a trial, its a fitness eval THEN a trial if he gets that far, which no-one thinks is likely.

Although, this was my greatest fear of this appointment, that Ince would pull a Roy Keane. He hasn't yet, so mayhaps someone talks sense to him, but I guess for now I still get to sit on the ledge of sanity and watch the wagon go flying past....
