nicko, do you think any player(s) will be joining rovers in germany for pre season training, for ince to have a look out i.e. trialists like fowler

Fowler's fitness is obviously an issue after his training ground problem yesterday.

If Castillo can be sorted out he could join up - but that is one almighty IF.

I don't know of any other trialists, but that can change.

It's more likely that three or four specific targets will be watched in pre-season games around Europe.

There's an interesting situation developping at West Ham that may just explain some of the things that went wrong with a recent Rovers takeover bid.

I understand that their Icelandic backers are looking to get some of their money back fast.

Others better qualified on world finance will no doubt be able to explain that one.

However I understand that an Icelandic bank were part of Chris Ronnie's consortium...makes you think if they have got cold feet about football too.

You haven't been reading the Daily Mail have you Nicko ? They have a crusade against West Ham.....

I read that (Please dont use that word again) article in the Mail about our Chairman being so skint he needed to sell Lucas Neill to Citeh for less than £750k.

I looked up BG's bank - Landsbanki - and their financial performance. Can you believe that this skint recession hit bank (according to Daily Mail) in 2007 made an after tax profit of €456,000,000? That's right I'll say it again €456M after paying all corporation taxes - a record for them!

Not content with that I looked up their first 3 months figures for 2008 which were only released to the press in May this year. Their profits were up again to €171,000,000 after tax.

Well. If the Daily Mail are right then the end of the World as we know it is about to finish. If a bank can make €171M in the first 3 months of 2008 and are so skint they need to sell Lucas Neill for less than £750,000 then the only assumption I can make is that the financial world is indeed about to implode. Or hang on. Maybe the Daily Mail article might actually be a load of (Please dont use that word again) having discovered that no-one buys their (Please dont use that word again) paper in the East End and Essex so they don't care and only want to wind us up.

No, I haven't read the Mail.

But there IS a problem...I got a tip within the club in the middle of last week and there has been a lot of activity since.

There will be three or four big earners getting shunted out fast.

Move on.

Have been hearing that a lot lately.

Seems that the only "concrete" moves are all depending on players leaving the club.

Nicko is 6 million accurate for Robinson?

I always feel when we deal with Spurs that we are on a sadistic merry go round.

I don't think he is fully fit...which means it was a good job that Rovers let him 'prove' that before doing anything.

Cuevas, who had injured himself whilst playing in the Mexican league, returned to Paraguay in the spring (on loan) I believe.

He had a suitably good trail while on loan and has signed a contract with Olimpia or Libertad for the coming season.

I suppose I could look up the particular team, but it's Paraguay and I can't be arsed.

As far as I am aware we are trying to shift the dross ie Davenport, Wright, Ferdinand, Boa Morte, Zamora etc...... Neill is also available if we can land the swiss midfielder with Faubert going to right back.

I would hardly call that a "fire sale" We have just given our biggest asset a new 5 year deal in Ashton.

oh well, can you name him now B) does this mean that pennat is next on the wish list, ooh god

It would be unfair to both clubs and the player to do that.

The only consolation is that if they wanted guys klike this there is a reasonable amount of knowledge within the building.

The player is at a good club already but could have been bought - the money would also have been found - but he just wants to stay and give it a go where he is.

Like I say, move on - you have to be easy come and easy go on these things at times.

Other fish in the sea and such cliches.

Not exactly. Castillo's move depends on the size of his fee and other issues...nobody has had to leave for him to be pursued.

Robinson's price is a matter for those better paid than me.

But I agree that Spurs are hard to deal with.

'Fulham have agreed to take over Cole's £60,000-a-week Blackburn contract, which still has one year to run.'

I would be very surprised if that was true. Figures i have heard in the past were nearer £35-40k inc bonuses.

If it was rejected i really think ince would have said so.

If we are in discussions with Spurs over the transfer, which I think we are, then it is preferable for the Villa bid to look alive and like you are willing to meet our valuation.

Good signing Kapo

He started last season brilliantly but then just seemed to fade away and really struggled towards the end of the season.

Just to clarify, your saying 3 or 4 of our players will be departing?

How many players can you see joining the club now then?

The main problem i have is our better players are being linked with moves elsewhere, and we are being linked with older inferior players...

I think Nicko was talking about West Ham players

The Blackburn Rovers recently changed coach. El técnico Mark Hughes se despidió del banquillo para dejar el cargo a Paul Ince, un ex seleccionado inglés. The coach Mark Hughes was dismissed for leaving the bench from Paul Ince, a former selected English. Ince se desempeñó en el puesto de Segundo Castillo en su época de jugador. Por otra parte, en caso de una negociación, El Nacional tiene derecho al 30%, señaló Néstor Landeta, gerente del club criollo. Moreover, if a negotiation, El Nacional is entitled to 30%, said Nestor Landeta, manager of the club Creole.

My god these online translators are absolute crap

"Moreover, if a negotiation, El Nacional is entitled to 30%, said Nestor Landeta, manager of the club Creole."

A sell on clause to another club if he joins us?

Agreed. Nacional have a 30% sell-on clause on Castillo.

By big earners I would also include Neill and Bellamy.

The story in The Sun today has some truth - only I think Man City's name has been thrown in to create a market.

I believe the right winger nicko is talking about is none other than SHAUN WRIGHT-PHILLIPS

No, I can tell you that much.

It's not worth wasting any more posts or breath on.

I'm not saying and that's final...it's pointless.

Without getting specific re players / managers, your rather hansom returns kinda prove the point. Congratualtions.

The only point it proves is that you talk some utter rubbish...none of the speculation made on this thread since Ince joined (thats thousands of posts worth) have been made on anything that you could place a bet on, except for the odd Ronaldo post which I'm sure was asked more out of interest than anything else. Enough of your self righteous nonsense, thanks.

Out of curiousity, what price bracket is this player in?
