Is Joaquin the Lennon type player or Bentley?

more lennon i would say, he likes to run at defenders not as quick as lennon though, has a trick or 2 up his sleve, much better delivery than lennon, just look at that clip of him in action, where he scrored a stunning free kick against barcelona where he bent the ball a mile to get it in the bottom corner, hes at a decent age too, and may want to try his luck in the premiership :rover:

So you're basically telling us we're in for someone, but no names and the guy you won't name is no longer being looked at???? You're a well of knowledge nicko....:wacko::wacko:

That's right.

I'm still waiting on you to tell us one.

And at what point do Spurs realise that there are plenty of people hoping they look elsewhere, despite Bentley's Sky interview because we can't see ourselves finding better and willing to come to us? Rovers playing a dangerous game? No it's surely spurs who are doing that because if they want him they'll have to pay and if they don't and someone else takes him then they'll be the ones missing out.

Is it just me, or do spurs seem to be in for every player on earth? I know they got the rules changed so clubs will be able to name 7 subs next season, but i didnt realise they were trying to get the rules changed so they're allowed 40 players on the pitch.

If they sign even half of the players they have apparently made offers for they are going to end up with an increadibly unhappy subs bench

I think Spurs have been linked with selling quite a few as well. So if the get Joaquin and Bentley doesn't want to go to Villa, that leaves him with no option but to stay..... seeing as nobody else seems willing to entertain paying £17m for him...?

And how does that differ to you naming Friedel, Rovers and Villa????

When did this become Ethics class?

Villa bid for Friedel - Villa offer Friedel huge contract - Rovers hold out for right price and try to find replacement. All live and pretty public goings-on.

The player you want and who I am talking about is from a source who asked me to keep it off the record...and that's the way it stays. It is also why I get stories and have somehow managed to survive working for the past 30 years.

Perhaps if you have a better plan you could pass it on.

Because Rovers have already come out over Friedel and the interest has benn known for a week, especialy since as soon Ince took over there were link to other keepers such as Cudicini. The guy that has nicko kept to himself wants to stay and doesn't want to attract anyore interest. That's why.

One final question on the subject,is the player playing in England or abroad?

He's a big boy and I'm sure he can answer for himself. I'll also probably be able to understand his post.

Very defensive Alan. It wasn't intended to come accross in a negative way towards yourself.

I'm getting fairly fed up with some of the whining that goes on.

Chasing tales, waiting on muppets to do deals and act their age...

My thoughts on Jaoquin:

He's got an unusual build for a winger - he's not sleight or small by any means, but looks very powerful - he wouldn't look out of place playing up front. In turn, it actually hides the fact that he's a very explosive player, with a great turn of pace. I remember when England went to play Spain a few years back in 2004 (when the racist chants made all the headlines) and Jaoquin was the star man in that game - he ripped us to pieces down the right hand side, which isn't easy coming up against Cole - who was a much better player then.

He's quality without a doubt, but I'm sure that I've read that there's questions marks about his attitude and his choice of lifestyle. I'd be very excited if we managed to sign him, but I very much doubt that he'd want to come to us unless he's another one of those players that prefers to be a big fish in a little pond.

Also, for what it's worth, my thoughts on the current transfer merry go round is that we hold all the aces and we are playing our cards the best possible way. Every man and his dog knows that Spurs don't have the money to buy Bentley at this present moment in time and neither do Liverpool. I think the key to all this is actually Man U - who have literally got Spurs by the short and curlies. I'm sure if they had their way, the signing of Berbatov will happen on August 31st 2008 23:59:59 (for a lot less than £30m). (Which suits me just fine by the way). Once the Berbatov's transfer is out of the way things are going to take off.

I ain't the supposed journalist mate.......

You are obviously interested in what he has to say or you wouldn't keep coming on the this topic to read it. You have to remember it is just like reading it in the paper only a day or 2 early. Be grateful that we have a little further insight into the on goings, most other clubs don't, apart from Villa whose entire board seem to post on their site.

If not there is always the ignore used function. :xmas:

2 days is along time in football. We could very well have sold Brad & Bentley and then signed Robinson & Joaquin in that time.

It's not just that, you get more in depth info and to ask questions into the info.

What sort of impression has Robbie Fowler been giving in training? Might he get a deal?

He is very likeable and mixes well. I'm not taking the kick with that remark - he is popular.

The training ground injury is a blow, but the manager is obviously on his side.
