I dont bet...but could someone explain to me the Betfair market? There is '£5000' on Bilic NOT (lay?) getting the job. Am i reading that right...is that one bet? If so, someone knows he isnt coming. Obviously prepared to be exposed as a betting Gobbin

That means somebody wants to put £5000 on Bilic taking over at Rovers at 7.4

Somebody else would have to be prepared to lay that bet.

Using your logic that means that someone is fairly sure he IS coming.

However these large sums of money sometimes pop up and then disappear quickly and I've never worked out why. Earlier today someone wanted to lay £25000 on Ince not becoming Rovers boss.

(There as been a lot of money on Bilic today and as I type this I notice that the £5000 has gone but someone now wants £3200 on Bilic at 6.8)

It's always interesting to watch, especially in relation to media stories doing the rounds, but ultimately it doesn't mean to much and it's not worth reading too much into it.

You are missing the point completely Rev,

Ince has got the dispensation to be a Prem Manager despite being completely unqualified in part because he showed good faith in auditing that course- go back to what was being said on Mon/Tues: all bit of a joke but Ince going to that FAW course was key to the whole thing.

Now Ince has made JW look a prat and if JW got the agreement of the LMA and the 19 Chairmen on the basis Ince had been at the course, then the agreement JW has from the LMA and the 19 Chairmen has been invalidated because Ince didn't go.

They are all free to turn round and vote no because JW told them an untruth in soliciting their agreement. So Rovers have no agreement to appoint him. So no Ince.

And for sure, Ince will not become a Prem Manager until he has got his badges and this is an ideal time for the LMA and EPL to clamp down and enforce their rules on Manager qualifications.

Oh ok...so the money in the pink bit is money placed as a 'Back' looking for a 'Lay'. That makes sense... There are enormous figures going on Bilic at the moment in the pink. its like watching a stock price.Ill take your word for it that it is ultimately irrelevant. Still interesting though

I agree completely!

The alleged failure to attend in Wales is puzzling and might be a matter for Rovers to take up with Ince, but the agreement to grant him special dispensation might be completely irrespective of the attendance on that course.

It might not be either. We simply don't know.

As usual however it hasn't stopped you making various wild assumptions and leaping to an extreme conclusion.

Go back and read what was stated by nicko about the importance of Ince auditing that FAW course if you don't believe me.

I dont know about anyone else but I'm just getting well and truly cheesed off with the whole situation.

I wouldnt have wanted BFS or WwtB, but at this stage I'd take just about anyone. The off-season for Blackburn the past few seasons has been fending off approaches for our players. I was happier with that than I have been in this manager search. My old man is in the States right now and he's texting me every day to find out if there's been any development. I'm so bored of telling him "no".

I'm waiting for him to say "I told you so" when Williams gives Ince the job, or find an excuse as to why what he said was still correct.

Well read what I wrote- IF JW stated Ince was attending the FAW course as part of his argument and IF Nicko is correct that Ince did not go then any or all of the 19 Chairmen and the LMA are entitled to tell Rovers their agreement no longer stands.

Any problems with that?

This is the Guardian's take on it.

The former England captain does not possess the Uefa Pro Licence that is compulsory to manage in the Premier League, but is currently observing a coaching course at Aberystwyth University in the hope of convincing league officials of his determination to obtain the qualification. Blackburn could still appoint Ince if they present "a compelling case" for his appointment to the Premier League board.

First and foremost there is no 'allegedly' in what I told you about Ince NOT going to the course. There is Hell on among the FA of Wales people who feel slighted and used.

I pointed out he was being rushed into this attendance as a sign of his willingness to go for coaching badges.

He didn't go.

I can't put into words how shabby that is.

IF Rovers know this they have been let down and this may explain the delay.

IF Rovers don't know they do now...and have to get an answer.

It would be some unveiling if the questions fly in about why Ince has been appointed despite a lack of coaching badges or even turning up for a course just to watch.

I thought this was a strange old search for a new manager...it just got stranger.

I cant understand why we are even interested in Ince, he has NO qualifications. Normally i'm willing to halt judgement of an applicant if they demonstrate good enthusiasm or whatever, but when we are talking about a business where decisions are worth millions of pounds, i'd be thinking hmmm.......i think i'l choose someone who knows what they're doing.

The decision to wait so long can only be due to the fact that some members of the board are having second thoughts. I hope to God we don't get Ince.....no enthusiasm to get badges, crap backroom team (speculatively), no qualifications, no experience, unintelligent moron, WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON!?

Please Mr. Williams, divert interest elsewhere!

If Ince were to fall through, for whatever reason, and mystery candidate no. two (say it's Bilic) turns out not to be interested, where do we go from there?

We are in the same position Chelsea were in at roughly the same time in their search.

Does this in tomorrows Express put the saga to an end ??

Paul Ince will be officially unveiled as Blackburn Rovers’ new manager tomorrow – but the former Manchester United star has already begun his Ewood Park work.

Ince, who succeeds fellow Old Trafford legend Mark Hughes, has been in touch with much-wanted striker Roque Santa Cruz.

Blackburn’s new boss – the Premier League’s first black manager – is anxious that Paraguay international Santa Cruz, who is currently playing in World Cup qualifiers in South America, remains at the club.

Manchester United, Hughes’ new club Manchester City and Arsenal are all on the trail of the 26-year-old striker.

With that in mind, Ince has been in touch with the player’s agent to spell out that Santa Cruz plays a vital part in his plans.

Ince has finalised a three-year contract with Blackburn worth £4.5million and has fought off interest from former England boss Steve McClaren, Sam Allardyce and former Denmark international Michael Laudrup.

Difference being Scolari was always Abramovich's number one choice, and he even managed to land him in the middle of a major championship.

Shearer was always our number one choice, he turned us down.

That is a rip-off of information on here last night...tell me different.
