Simon you are increasingly resembling the boy that stood on the burning deck...... . I can only think you must have put your shirt on Ince.

I'm sure this won't be universally popular but if we stick to the known facts and their respective records Ince is not fit to lace Allardyces boots, never mind the stratospheric likes of Bilic, HTC etc. Something must be known 'off the record' about Allardyce's history. Whether there was some palm greasing over Per Frandsen / Jansen or similar I've no idea but it must certainly have stuck in someones craw.

Just a couple of quick answers.

PREMIER LEAGUE APPROVAL - Rovers needed to check their ground on Ince with the Premier League. The Premier could not stop them physically employing him but there could have been a protest from a club or two afterwards. So Rovers are being cautious to find out if that is the case.

OTHER CANDIDATES - I heard there were other people being discussed on Friday, I don't know their names and it may have been a leak to get us all guessing. I did hear one was expensive, that may be the case, but I have no other info on it.

one thing u hv to give the guy is credit, unlike shearer who cant e bothered to get off his back side, and like to sit on his comfy warm chair and talk utter rbbish everyday, ince unlike however has shown a desire to get into management, make a name from him slef starting at the very bottom whith maacsfield where hes got his hands dirty, then to mk dons where he transfred them from relegation contenders into leauge and cup winners in the space of a season. so all is not gloom. he diefinelty seems to be willing to step up to the plate

Grooby has just answered a question on the official web site saying nothing is prepared for a conference tomorrow but that has no significance as these things can be done at short notice. He also wrote that there is no need to rush to appoint a Manager as there is another two weeks before the players come back.

There are rumours that Horizon FM are saying Ince has walked out on MK Dons but I've just checked and there is nothing on their web site in news or under sport or MK Dons.

is there any point in considring the notion that the reason for ince's non-attendance at the course in wales is because rovers had already rejected him as a candidate,for whatever reason?

If that turns out to be true then he is even more stupid than I already thought. What signal does that send out to other Prem clubs? He'd be lucky to even get an interview now.
