I would imagine like Hughes that after touting himself around BRFC and Leicester that as with Hughes his old position had become untenable. I refuse to believe that he is in line for us after all that has reportedly gone on. Also I do not think that getting him to resign without asking permission to approach him via the proper channels is the style of BRFC.

Sore head, swollen bowels and a stonking hang over from the night before.

I got up and logged on to catch up with everything thats happened overnight and what I have read is quite sobering.

If he failed to attend the course (Ince) then he is a let down unless he has a more than valid excuse.

If MKD and WinklyWinckleman have said we cant speak but we have to take him and offer him the job it sounds like an ultimatum.

I would like Bilic or Advocaat to take the job over anyone else.

All the transfer speculation in the papers is crap.

The curry I had last night was simply bloody fantastic although what I washed it down with leaves a lot to be desired

The Khyber still going strong?

Work internet blocks the site, any chance of pasting the outline of the Horizon article please?

Ince Quits!

After a year of huge success at stadium:mk, manager Paul Ince has quit the Dons.

The former England international is heading for the Premiership to be the new boss at Blackburn Rovers.

There's been intense speculation about Ince's future following the last season where MK Dons stormed to the Division Two title, promotion, and the Johnstone Paints Trophy victory at Wembley.

An approach from fallen giants Leicester City was unsuccessful...but the call from Rovers, looking for a replacement for Ince's former Manchester United team-mate Mark Hughes, proved too strong.

Where does that leave the Dons as they look forward to the new season in League One? Have your say through the Add A Comment link below...

I agree with you TNR but unfortunately it looks like he is in line to join us IF that story is true.

Im watching SSN and there is nothing about it there. Im sure they;d get hold of it before Horizon Radio.

Jesus, just as i was typing that they had a Just In, Breaking news update and i nearly soiled myself, it turned out to be something to do with Scolari though, thank god.

I'd image Horizon would be in the know far more about FC Franchise than SSN would be

It's also strange that that story isn't actually one their new page or front page. It's almost as though they've wrote it in aticipation but not linked to it yet. When (if) it actually happens then they could just publish it.

How did you find the link?

I just typed 'Paul Ince' in to the sites search engine as I couldn't find it anywhere either.

In which case I would imagine that they have had the story written and ready but haven't published it yet as it isn't true. However as the story exists their search engine is finding it.

If it was true it would be on their news and sports updates on the radio - it's not.

If it is true Ince has walked out it means he has done so to talk to Rovers which Winkelman had blocked.

I wonder where this leaves the compensation situation. Also I wonder of Winkelman will claim an uillegal approach by Rovers?

If Ince has quit the MK Dons, thats a desperate move from Paul. If we don't employ him now as boss, it will look like we tapped him up and hung him out to dry. Personally I think it's a stupid move on Ince's part, the fact that BRFC and JW have probably had enough of his antics and are looking else where leaves Ince in the wilderness.

Also I think Nicko's mystery expensive candidate is Alan Shearer! I remember there was an issue about merchandise percentages and media rights etc wanted in his contract.

Ozz

picked up a nice curry from a very small joint in Blackburn up on the top road that runs adjacent to Bank Top (cant think of the name). Very Very NICE and cheap. The Chicken was fantastic (if it was chicken !). Garlic naan is to die for and the cans of beer ??? Well all I will say on that is that it cost 99p and was simply awful  But whoc ares after an opening first half in Chorley with the second half in Blackburn

Didn't Nicko reckon there was no chance of him changing his mind though?

Be nice after his past comments and behaviour toward us. Take your pick... Revenge is a dish best served cold / Don't get mad get even.

Or a manger in work and on a long contract with a team similarly attached. (as indeed why we got 5m for Mark Hughes)

This might have been brought up before, but I keep hearing in the news that Ince could be the first black manager in the Premier League?? What about Jean Tigana and Ruud Guilett, they did manage in the Premier League didn't they??
