RibbleValleyRover Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Nicko, is there a chance we might be interested in Djibril Cissé? I hope not

Lurid Coat Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 He doesn't know..iceman always comes out with these 'statements' which sound like facts .. :s Yep. Pretty cringeworthy.
Darth Paul Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Even he wouldn't get in at centre forward. No good on crosses I have heard... sorry.
Iceman Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 He doesn't know..iceman always comes out with these 'statements' which sound like facts .. :s aye,lol..i just read that off the official board.somebody posted it on there....dont shoot the messenger Nicko, could that be a slight Maybe,Phil Thompson to be part of the backroom staff?
Mozzer Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 darren bent to everton-is this true and if so how much for?? jenas isnt a bad shout for central midfield either-i get the feeling he loves london to much tho to want to leave tottenham..
gumboots Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 The phil thopson story is going the rounds in several places at the moment.
Hannah Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Ince will bring in Phil Thompson as part of his backroom staff. We have a really good song for him already if I remember rightly - Isn't it something about his nose!!!
thenodrog Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 We have a really good song for him already if I remember rightly - Isn't it something about his nose!!! 'sit down pinnochio'
cn_barlow Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 He hates us doenst he? It would be slightly ironic if it turns out to be true....Ince and big nose as the management team - they've hardly been complimentary about us in the past!
vintageadidas Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 No way do we want PT. We need new, exciting and innovative ideas. He is a dinosaur.
Hannah Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 'sit down pinnochio' The one i was thinking about was you've got a f'ing big nose!
revolutionrock! Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Can't see the scum breaking the bank, seeing as they are losing £4,000,000 a year.
Ronin Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I've heard a name and I'm checking the strength of it...can't say the back page is being held for this one. to be honest though, that's not surprising regarding Rovers!
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 No way do we want PT. We need new, exciting and innovative ideas. He is a dinosaur. I don't want PT here either. But i do think Ince will need an experienced back room team.
broadsword Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Surely not Phil Thompson -- he is a complete prat. Anyone but him.
rebelmswar Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I don't want PT here either. But i do think Ince will need an experienced back room team. Tony Parks and Tim Flowers would do me.
broadsword Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Tony Parkes? Noooooooooooooooooo, Tony's had his time.
nicko Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 Can't see the scum breaking the bank, seeing as they are losing £4,000,000 a year. Paterson will sign in about 15 minutes... I believe the sales of Gray and Lafferty wiped a fair bit of that off. If they bring in half-a-dozen new, young and enthusiast faces I think my chum will go rather well this season.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Tim Flowers would be good to see. ...Nicko, apparently Fraizer Campbell has taken part in the promo shoot for the unveiling of the new Hull City kit.
nicko Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 I wouldn't be too surprised if Bobby Mimms was going to part of the new backroom staff...unconfirmed but that one may be on.
thenodrog Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Paterson will sign in about 15 minutes... Is that 'Mark'?
Fife Rover Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 I really cannot believe some of the almost hysterical carp that is being bandied about on this site (on several different threads) now re-the new manager. Why doesn't everybody just accept what has happened, with or without reservations, and just settle down and see what ACTUALLY happens this season instead of what their fevered imaginations bring them to predict will happen. To all those who are moaning at what they see as a disasterous point about the appointment of Ince in the fact that Rovers will have a poorer season this time under Ince than they did last season under Hughes, I say just this: I challenge you to name ANY manager that Rovers could have appointed ( nay I'll widen it to any in the world) that would NOT have resulted in Rovers inevitably having a first season under the new man as one of consolidation and re-building. And how under these circumstances we could possibly expect to finish higher up the table than we did last season under Hughes & Co. There you are have a go at that if you think you can make a logical case. Just remember that the starting point has to be that we have lost Hughes and all his coaching staff and Bentley definitely wants out and likely other key players as well. That is the situation that Ince or ANY new manager joining today has to deal with. Also remember the premise that what so many are moaning about, and that I am objecting to, is the daft idea that we should not, or would not, finish any lower than 7th if somebody like Laudrup or Bilic or Sheare had been appointed. This should be good!!!
rebelmswar Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Tony Parkes? Noooooooooooooooooo, Tony's had his time. Well I may be the only one who thinks so but Tony has seen us through some tough times.
revolutionrock! Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Paterson will sign in about 15 minutes... I believe the sales of Gray and Lafferty wiped a fair bit of that off. If they bring in half-a-dozen new, young and enthusiast faces I think my chum will go rather well this season. He is top class They had there chance last year, and they ###### that up big time.
Mr Creosote Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 Paterson will sign in about 15 minutes... I believe the sales of Gray and Lafferty wiped a fair bit of that off. If they bring in half-a-dozen new, young and enthusiast faces I think my chum will go rather well this season. What again?
