I think the golf thing in Portugal was a course he missed prior to even being interviewed by Rovers Drog. I don't think it's last weeks course that he missed because of it.

It's mentioned in a rather anti-Ince article in todays Mail if anyone wants to find the link.

Edit - here it is.

Just seen this on a transfer rumour website - if any of it is true then id be very suprised. Absolute rubbish, think its daft.

"These are some rumours I have heard from Ewood park that was suppost to have been sold to a mistery buyer Friday night and Paul Ince was appointed as manager Saturday morning and will be unvield later this week and will have about £25 million to spend on new players.

he will replace the full midfield by signing

Lennon–7 million, huddlestone–5 million, turan–8 million, arashvin–9 million, diaraa–7 million he will sign a new right back - either sagnol, castro or rafina for £8 million

and will sign a forward to parter santa cruz next season and will either sign

van nistarooy, antonio Reyes, millito, £10 million

but he is concentrating on keepin the big name players at Ewood like santa cruz, Bentley, samba, McCarthy, Nelson, warnock and friedel"

Personally I don't give a flying one what colour a player or manager is, I just want the best for the club in ability, demeanour, and as a figurehead and this guy is not that. I'm will say that I am NOT colour prejudiced at all.... but it's bloody obvious that Paul Mellelieu is!

Not then Golfer Gordon, explain that last line to me; slowly please.

Hang on a minute you called me racist; the first person to do so, as far as i can remember. So either put up or shut up.

Evidence, or an apology.

err now come on brains ..... I referred to you, as everyone can see, as colour prejudiced. Why (especially after highlighting my words yourself do you state that I called you racist? Can YOU find any evidence of that? The answer of course is NO so I suggest that you had better apologise for attempting yet again to cast a slur on me!

You really are so brainwashed with your own stupi

You may be right Hasta BUT I've cut and pasted this from that Mail article....... this should raise a few eyebrows and dampen some of the child like enthusiasm that has been in evidence. It seems that we are paying 4m for a numpty. I wonder if we can persuade him to come on here?

"But something is gnawing away at the managerial community. Blackburn are accused of doing something wrong because, according to the rules, Ince does not have the necessary coaching qualifications for the job, namely the UEFA Pro-Licence, and he is a long way from getting it. He started but failed to complete his UEFA B licence, the lowest rung on the coaching ladder for ex-professional players.

Ince also started but did not finish a Certificate of Applied Management for Football, a diploma backed by the LMA and PFA intended to complement the coaching badges. He was expected at the Warwick Business School earlier this month to work on this but decided to take a golfing holiday in Portugal instead.

Last week, Ince was due to observe a Welsh FA coaching course in Aberystwyth, a special arrangement to help him back into the qualification process. He did not turn up and has offered no explanation."[/
