ThatRabbitsDynamite Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Contracts generally run from July 1st. Thanks RevidgeBlue. Do you think the lists that i mentioned are non-existent?

nicko Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 The PFA have a list...but that only goes out late in July.
nicko Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 Can the public access it? The clubs find it hard enough, I'm afraid. Not very professional.
b12_simon Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 would it be customary for hughes to congratulate ince on his appointment? .....maybe talk about rovers current squad?....strengths , weaknesses etc? i fully expext ince to be his own man and make his own signings, but would hughes give him the lowdown on his new players? No offence mate but who gives a rat's jacksy about what Hughes has to say?
philipl Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 dont talk stupid £500,000 has been reported in papers, and i still think thats a hell of a lot imagine stanley getting 500k for someone poaching coleman Ince was on a seriously big wage at MK Dons- I had seen a figure of £600K quoted. Winkelman is not short of a bob or two and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dons "back" in the Prem within five years and averaging over 20K gates.

thenodrog Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Your constant sniping at Ince now go beyond the concerns of a worried and dissapointed fan and make you seem bitter and determined to be so. If you are a Rovers fan then, like me, you will put aside your dissaproval, get behind the club and see where this takes us. You may have a point there mr creosote. I guess the only way is up for me after my initial disbelief and ultimate dismay at this appointment...... but by the same token there's a lot on here will be heading the other way.
nicko Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 On a lighter and distracting note... Amazingly there are TWO clubs trying to sign James Harper from Reading for £3.5 million. If that is the asking price for a run-of-the-mill midfielder I don't think the Rovers kitty is going to go too far this summer.
rover6 Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 would it be customary for hughes to congratulate ince on his appointment? .....maybe talk about rovers current squad?....strengths , weaknesses etc? i fully expext ince to be his own man and make his own signings, but would hughes give him the lowdown on his new players? Ince recently commented that he was disappointed that Mark Hughes had never contacted him to discuss management or congratulate him on his success. Apparently, his other Man U buddies, Roy Keane and Steve Bruce, were texting encouragements on a regular basis. Which suggests that Hughes and Ince aren't very close at all.

Middlesbrough and Sunderland my guess (HOPEFULLY)
Hughesy Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 James Harper - Bolton? Nicko - have you any news on what bolton are up to in the transfer market??
nicko Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 Nicko - have you any news on what bolton are up to in the transfer market?? Johan Elmander. £11 million or so bid. Totally over-priced if you base it on his Euro 2008 performances. Would make the wonderful Arshavin a snip at a similar price. Bolton have signed Muamba and want Elmander, sounds like they will be shelling it next season...great!
Paul Mellelieu Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 You may have a point there mr creosote. I guess the only way is up for me after my initial disbelief and ultimate dismay at this appointment...... but by the same token there's a lot on here will be heading the other way. There you go changing your mind again. Stick to your bloody principles for once, coming in here isn't some kind of popularity contest. Maybe you should apply for the next Big brother.
USRoverME Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 Nicko, I was wondering if there is a specified date that most or ALL contracts end on during the summer transfer window? These would obviously be player contracts that are up for the club they currently play for. Also, do you know where one can find a listing of players who's contracts are up during this summer transfer window? Or even have just 1-year left on the current contracts? I found this like last year I think: PFA registration form Never bothered registering to see what you get access to though...

Well if thats not a saving face comment Theno I don`t know what is. You have been a bit of an arse about all of this. Throwing your rattle out of the pram saying you` re off to the golf course if Ince is appointed and now an about turn ( it would appear ) Will you be going to Ewood this coming season? Simple question. How about a simple answer.
Cocker Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I see that Clinton Morrison is a free agent. Any news on who may be looking at him Nicko? I have always thought he was quite good and I know that we have enough strikers but on a free might be ok to stick on the wing?

Cocker Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 A bit 'large'...and probably with his best days behind him. Fair enough, to be fair I didnt see to much of him last year anyway. Just going off seasons before.
Hi Mack Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 A bit 'large'...and probably with his best days behind him. Werent good enough at brum! Championship player at best good for Burnley!
nicko Posted June 24, 2008 Author Posted June 24, 2008 I think Coyley is doing rather well without picking up elderly freebies. Those days have gone.
Hi Mack Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I think Coyley is doing rather well without picking up elderly freebies. Those days have gone. Only because Andy Cole turned them down!
Fife Rover Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 There you go changing your mind again. Stick to your bloody principles for once, coming in here isn't some kind of popularity contest. Maybe you should apply for the next Big brother. That's a bit strong Paul. Remember the parable of the lost lamb.
ThatRabbitsDynamite Posted June 24, 2008 Posted June 24, 2008 I found this like last year I think: PFA registration form Never bothered registering to see what you get access to though... I say, good show Watson!! There seems to be alot of info on the site. I haven't poked around to much just yet. You have to register just once. I registered as a supporter of course. The next time you visit www.givemefootball.com you're in. It appears more official then i was expecting. It gives options for searches. And your search will give player info such as height, weight, age, photo, etc... There is also a "make inquiry" button so to speak that i didn't want to press. It appears for managers and club officials. Thanks USRoverME.
