nicko Posted June 25, 2008 Author Posted June 25, 2008 The big Turkish left winger Boral is the player Rovers watched in the Sevilla v Fenerbahce game a couple of months ago... He would do.

ScudCrater Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 The big Turkish left winger Boral is the player Rovers watched in the Sevilla v Fenerbahce game a couple of months ago... He would do. He would if we could watch him. BBC NOne at the moment!
brian_gallagher85 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Thankfully it's back and with out Motty and lawro
ScudCrater Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Thankfully it's back and with out Motty and lawro Makes an impending German win more bearable!
ScudCrater Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Makes an impending German win more bearable! Or maybe not!!
ScudCrater Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Despite the technical difficulties, at least the cameraman keeps panning back to that tasty German Blonde! I was looking forward to extra time though...
Baz Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Must have played all of 30 seconds of the 4 added minutes
ScudCrater Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Can't really see the German defence lasting long though against either the Spanish or the Russians in the final. Going back to Nicko's comment on Boral being previously watched by Rovers, will Ince get a big, fat file of shortlisted players that we have earmarked (like Boral) when he starts? I assume our scouting capabilities have continued as before despite Sparky's departure?
modes98 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Must have played all of 30 seconds of the 4 added minutes 3 minutes added on, according to the caption. German winner came on 89:30. Turkish free kick they blazed over was dead on the 93rd minute. Ref then played an extra 30secs! Lehmann showed once again why he was dropped and then booted from Arsenal! What a joke of a national keeper!
Commondore Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 We are rumored to be interested in Swedish right-back Fredrik Stoor according to a Swedish fan-site. He played two games for Sweden during Euro 2008 and made an OK impression Is there anything in this?
Ronin Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 What a joke of a national keeper! Talking of jokes 'that lot' in the studio really know their stuff [/sarcasm] Only O'Neill really seemed to give any credit to the Turkish tactics. I'm soooooooo glad Shearer bottled it when JW asked him about the Rovers job!

I'm soooooooo glad Shearer bottled it when JW asked him about the Rovers job! Hang on Ronin. Earlier O'Neill had opined that if Turkey won it would be the upset of the century! Linekar of the dazzling white teeth and permatan was tekinthepiss out of em all at HT. Thing is it should be no suprise cos we see time and again the krauts prevailing even when they are playing badly.
herbergeehh Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 The big Turkish left winger Boral is the player Rovers watched in the Sevilla v Fenerbahce game a couple of months ago... He would do. It's a nice!
Hasta Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I'm sure Alan Hansen also said that both the German and the Swiss right backs were poor defensively but good going forward.
Ronin Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Hang on Ronin. Earlier O'Neill had opined that if Turkey won it would be the upset of the century! Ah, true, good point. I guess it's the usual BBC quality punditry. A bunch of muppets the lot of them, O'Neill being the best of a very bad bunch - may as well have Ian Wright back! Desailly was the only one who sounded like he knew what he was on about and got it spot on with Turkey. Probably why the BBC have kept him pitchside and not in the studio, as not to show up the chums in the studio.
rover_groo Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Joey Barton's trial starts on Monday... Did he manage to get a week down at Brockhall? FFS, I know Ince was looking for hardened midfielders and I can't believe Ince went this far!!
rebelmswar Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Did he manage to get a week down at Brockhall? FFS, I know Ince was looking for hardened midfielders and I can't believe Ince went this far!! I think its his criminal trial.
Uxbridge rover Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 As it's a bit quiet on the transfer front at our place, is there any movement at Newcastle? The natives are getting a bit restless. There seems to be a lot of people giving up there season tickets at the moment, after the prices went up, but no signings as of yet. Hopefully they won't improve much and stay below us. who cares !!!!!!!!!!!
rebelmswar Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 who cares !!!!!!!!!!! EwoodGlory does it would apear.
Tom 1 Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I love MON's punditry, he knows what his on about but he just conveys it in a retarded manner. I just find his little quotes every so often and attacks on players funny, went to town on Ibrahimovic in WC 2006. I liked his opener to this tournament, when they said you have to support players like Torres and Ronaldo and he went 'why, i wouldn't support anyone from Liverpool'. He didn't to do well on his turk prediction tho. I'd like him to come back from Euros now and sign us some players though...preferably not Paul Robinson whos being touted to sign this week.
Iceman Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Ive heard that Jamie Redknapp(sp)could be part of the backroom staff.its just rumours,so just keep it at that.
S15 Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Iceman I'm intrigued. Just where do you hear these things? I doubt you have many contacts of your own so I'm guessing you just read this crap on the various messageboards you abuse.
