Ive heard that Jamie Redknapp(sp)could be part of the backroom staff.its just rumours,so just keep it at that.

It was Phil Thompson the other day! Make your mind up!

I wouldn't touch either with a barge pole, Redknapp is so far up his own **** it's unbelievable.

Lennon and 7 million is what the Guardian is reporting. I'd be pretty tempted if it was a couple of million more. There are floors in Lennon but if we can get a more solid central midfield I think Lennon could improve with us. It's a risk but let's face it, Bentleys off and Lennon is a player with potential...

Lennon has the main attribute that we severely lack – PACE!

If we can get Pedersen back to his old form then we have a supply of very good crosses again. Add into that mix a new creative midfielder and they would put plenty of chances on for the strikers. Hopefully Ince sees that Roberts is useful but not a goal scorer also and flogs him, replacing him with a new striker who has some pace.

I think I've lost the plot. Earlier in the week (nay, yesterday even) the rags were saying that Ince says he wants to keep his 'best' players and they are going nowhere. Players are not reporting back at Ewood until 7th July apparently; and yet we are now selling Bentley to Spurs............he's even had a medical at a London Hospital

1 + 1 used to make 2 but not any more it seems.

Love the 'floors' Lennon has. Spell checker has a lot of flaws don't you think?

I'm calling BS on this one... based on the fact that we have rejected a 15M offer from Villa, that means that Spuds value Lennon at 9-11M. I think not!

Tottenham will offer Blackburn Aaron Lennon in a £15m player-plus-cash offer for midfielder David Bentley. (Daily Mirror)

Firstly - it's not my story.

That one has been going round for some time. I had a PM about it a couple of days ago and checked with Lennon's agent who said 'nothing doing.'

I contacted Lennon's agent again yesterday when the rumour resurfaced and he said 'still nothing doing.'

It wouldn't surprise me if Spurs tried..but it would take an awful lot of money to buy Bentley, so we shall see.

And the Villa £15 million bid stuff is just wrong.

I think it's already been said but I'd like to see him play down the middle rather than out wide.

Don't take the mickey out of his accent mum

Ah... I stand corrected.

No McDingle speculation in todays Mirror Nicko? Is "Coyley" keeping you in the dark?

My bro was hoping for Driver and the Celtic kid too.

Kalvenes should be in the paper...Driver ongoing...Riordan only if the price drops. There are three or four others on the cards too.

Didn't think the Lennon link seemed plausible.

That said, whatever we get for Bentley, it's going to cost us big to get anything like a replacement of similar quality. Unless Ince unearths a gem from somewhere.

Spurs may have planted the Lennon story to start a conversation...it's the kind of thing they do.

However his agent - who is a decent guy - tells me they know nothing about it.

His price is around £5 million, so Spurs would still have to find £10 million to get near to Bentley.

Not sure that is happening.

I'd be tempted at £5m and then let Bentley and him switch between CM and RM during a game. That seems a cheap price for him when there is so much talent there just waiting to be unleashed.

But unless Spurs get someone else in they presumably don't want to sell at that.
