Alan75 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 The Rovers search for a new manager to replace Mark Hughes, appears to be reaching the finishing post with two contenders out in front, unless another comes up on the rails. After Alan Shearer declared himself a non runner, the two favourites with the bookies were the experienced Allardyce and McClaren, until novice, Paul Ince, in the managerial stakes came up on the rails. As we reach the final furlong it would appear that Rovers Chairman John Williams has been studying the form and checked out the form of a foreign contender, Michael Laudrup. With Big Sam reportedly pulling out of the race and McClaren reportedly having taken the managerial role at FC Twente, it now appears that it’s a Two Horse Race - click here for fans poll.
