Yes but for the pessimists among us most of that could change by tomorrow tea time.
RevidgeBlue Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 And Fowler is in on trial. Forgot about that one - we haven't signed him either.

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Good post Revidge Blue. So far Ince is doing ok, If the South Americans work out it's happy days. If they don't then we still have midfield issues. If both Castillo and Carlos Villanueva do arrive and live up to the hype, we could have a very attack minded lineup. In terms of technical ability and entertainment (possibly excluding the defence from that comment ) at Ewood I would love to see: Keeper (TBC) Emerton/New RB Samba Nelsen Warnock/Winterburn! Castillo Bentley Pedersen Santa Cruz Villanueva McCarthy Away from home, shift Santa up front and pop Vogel in to sit with Castillo, Benni on the bench. Easy this management lark.
RevidgeBlue Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 A pretty impressive neck on the block job Rev! Join the club. True. However if we did manage to secure Robinson on the cheap so that Friedel could have his last big pay day, and we did manage to extract 17m out of some poor saps for Bentley I wouldn't think those were the worst things in the world either. What's your motto again - "Buy low sell high."? A couple of really poor signings and RSC going might be a different matter. Good post Revidge Blue. Castillo Bentley/A N other I didn't know Castillo was that good. You mean we'll be able to cope with 8 players on the pitch?

You mean we'll be able to cope with 8 players on the pitch? Any credit yet for the manager? Magnificent out witting of the Fleet St set so far... nothing gone. All coming. Not a man to be messed with. These are interesting times. Simultaneously hated, exciting, successful and clever. No flies on this boy.

American Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Whenever I used to moan about Hughes playing 'dull' football, everyone used to snipe, ''Oh, do you want us to fill our team with South Amercans blah blah blah.'' Well yes, I bloody do. And now what's happening eh? I'd like to take this oppotunity to invite you all to suck my balls. INCEYS' GONNA GET YA... BOOM!! One of the funniest f-ing things I've read on this board.
John Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Oh my god, its getting painful now, really is. Its so obvious we are being managed by a complete novice and we are fast turning into a laughing stock. Trust me, we seem to be getting stick from everyone. Some folk are seriously laughing at the Fowler move and also Winterburn. Lets hope Ince proves them wrong again.............. I am trying to defend him and our club, but its bloody hard! All of a sudden we are a joke!! However, I am not finding it at all funny..... I just feel sadly this could be a watershed moment on our history. Why is everyone telling me its negative???? The respect we had under Hughes has gone. Oh and does Brad want to leave all of a sudden, wonder why............ Too many people are saying it, just hope they are wrong, and BRFC lives on but I feel we are coming to a watershed moment sadly
American Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 How are we a joke? We've brought in a promising youngster and a veteran presence. Other than that, nothing else has happened. Drunken posts are a joke, though.

Have you seen our backroom staff? Why is everyone laughing at us? I dont find it funny..... Yeah, too early too be negative, but then again, too many people think our club is on a downward spiral...

Too many people are saying it, just hope they are wrong, and BRFC lives on but I feel we are coming to a watershed moment sadly For the first couple of years our reputation under Hughes was as a bunch of talentless cloggers. Brad wants to leave because he has been offered the cash deal of a lifetime. Elsewhere, nothing has really happened yet - but if you want to argue about rumours, tell the "too many people" that we are about to sign 2 super-duper South Americans. If you do it with enough passion, you should have them drooling. Looks like exciting times ahead to me.
philipl Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I guess we are all still very jumpy anxious to see what will happen but great to see Revidge in the happy camp.

Of course they'll rib you. Ain't nobody mockin' the Guv north of Watford, so please, please stop the paranoid recovering alcoholic esque posts of discontent.

Ain't nobody mockin' the Guv north of Watford, so please, please stop the paranoid recovering alcoholic esque posts of discontent. It is not as simple as that. I am getting calls, emails etc from people who seem to finding things quite funny (at our expense). Trying to keep a brave face, but its difficult.

Trying to keep a brave face, but its difficult. Well, I haven't heard anyone laughing either. One or two feeling a bit sorry for us because of the speculation surrounding our players making life hard for the club;plenty of wait and see fairly healthy scepticism; some genuine delight that we seem to have replaced one up and coming young manager with another; some querying why robbie Fowler until I comment that many Rovers fans are just as mystified but it's early days yet and he's here to see if he's still got it. No laughter. Get a grip John. the best attitude seems to be "yes, does seem to be a bit strange but time will tell" and a smile. Peole can't cope with it if you don't rise to the bait.
John Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Ok, I will get a grip. I am just worrying about the future of our club because I care. Others seem to be seeing the warning signs and I pray my worst fears don't prove to be reality. Just hope I am wrong on certain things which are going on at the moment, as they really concern me.
