joey_big_nose Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Ive just been debating this with a Dingle and he says it Ipswich, where can i get the stats etc to prove otherwise? From Wiki: Ipswich won the English league title once, in 1961–62, and have been runners-up twice in 1980–81 and 1981–82. They won the FA Cup in 1977–78, and the UEFA Cup in 1980–81. Whereas we: 1994-1995 Premiership Champions 1884,1885,1886,1890,1891,1928 FA Cup winners 1911-12, 1913-14 League division 1 (now Premier League) champions. 1993-94 Premier League runners-up So the only way you could argue Ipswich have more success is in Europe. Domestically we have muc more success.
Blue n White Rover Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Ive just been debating this with a Dingle and he says it Ipswich, where can i get the stats etc to prove otherwise? You believe any words that come out of a Dingles mouth?
BRFC95 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 From the total points thread. http://www.statto.com/football/stats/engla...time-table/full Total top flight, all time points. They don't even come close.
Eddie Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Long-term history we win hands-down. Very short term (last 15 years) we also win hands-down. Medium/short term they probably take it. So overall you'd have to go with us.
USABlue Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Ive just been debating this with a Dingle and he says it Ipswich, where can i get the stats etc to prove otherwise? At least he concedes it's not the clarrots
yoda Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 At least he concedes it's not the clarrots That's because the clarrot probably thinks bumley is a different universe all clarrots are on a different planet anyway
Claytons Left Boot Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Three majors to our ten, although they have a uefa cup win included. Us by a country mile and the rest.
BlueMonday Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Is Ipswich not a city? although the football club has the name town. I stand to be corrected
b12_simon Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Is Ipswich not a city? although the football club has the name town. I stand to be corrected It's a town. And a less successful club than us by miles.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 This has been done to death...NO other town club comes close to the trophy record of the famous Blackburn Rovers. Its a fact we should all be VERY proud of
thenodrog Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 Ive just been debating this with a Dingle and he says it Ipswich, where can i get the stats etc to prove otherwise? Just a guess but I'd say on google.
