Paul Ince is probably not planning for the short term but in fact fot the long term, im sure he mentioned when he become our manger he had a 2 year planning process in place or something like that. If we are thinkig long term, then friedel surely cannot figure in those long term plan, maye a season or 2 but thats it.

ALSO, does anybody have a link to the DUFF/WARNOCK article in the people. i cant find it anywhere

You don't get or need long term when you've just finished 7th.

Villanueva is a slightly different player to Duff.

And also bear in mind it's Newcastle who were offering him...

Man U won't pay that kind of money for Berbatov. Spurs are messers but that valuation is ridiculous even by their standards.

I don't think Fergie will go for Roque at this stage...and what would he cost anyway?

Does ManUre's 32 million Tevez outlay change their summer shopping budget or was that a foregone conclusion & therefore part of their plans? Seems crazy to then go chase after another number 9, albeit one with different qualities than 'carlitos, when it appears they need to prepare themselves for the inevitable Ronaldo departure to Franco's mob.

I am not sure they will pay that money for Tevez. It will probably be another rental payment.

That whole transfer is an obscenity.

How can the FA and FIFA allow money to be paid to a company? I thought it had to be club-to-club.

And if Joorabchian is his agent how come he also works for Man City...?

I can understand the rhetorical questions, it's beyond the realm of sense and order.

Where does the Tevez deal stand opposed to west ham shenanigans?

West Ham got away with it because the Premier League covered up for them...Liverpool got away with with Mascherano...Man U keep getting away with it over Tevez.

The circus goes on.

You're right --- that scenario is a bit of a nightmare.

It gives me a headache when I try to get my arms around the entire mess, but how come Liverpool and Rafa

were able to sort if out w/ Masch? Is it because that agent is not longer in the frame?

Anywho, back to my beloved Rovers..... I hope that Mancs think themselves too

big a club for Roque and set their sights on a better known quantity... say a Van Nistelrooy? ;)

A little tit for tat could be interesting --if ronaldo buggers off to Madrid, uh?

Osorio subbed after 51 minutes of Stuttgart game...not sure he sounds like the answer. I may be doing him a dis-service but I can't imagine that will help his case.

2) we have a track record of being total tough nuts with a club that doesn't matter (Spurs) which must make Man U think twice about going for RSC

Totally disagree Philip, history has shown that when a player says he wants to leave and the money is right we cave in without a fight.

Man utd coming in for Cruz would be THE ultimate nighmare for us,it would take a near miracle for him to stay at Ewood.

He did not impress really thought the chap that came on for him did better TBH, Looks like the search goes on!

Am I the only one who thinks that if Duff comes, he'll just play Left Back? Pretty sure he did for Newcastle before.

Who would you rather have at left back, Warnock or Duff?

I think most fans including those from other clubs would go with Warnock.

What a stupid idea if it happens.

I think you are Anti Dingle Brigade but i'd like to get in a lad called Felipe from Deportivo if Warnock goes both completly like each other in terms of bombing forward.

I'm not saying I want Duff, as Warnock is far superior, but it just seems more logical than sticking him on the right wing as some are suggesting.

The most logical and sane choice is to not sell Warnock full stop, but i see your point.

Why not play him on the left and move MGP into the middle. Duff would be a good addition to the squad but first lets get a right back, replace Bentley and then we'll see.

But we should not consider swapping Warnock for him.

The Duff of four years ago on the right wing would be a formidable prospect... not so sure at the moment.

To be honst I think we could have a decent shot at rehabilitating the irishman but we just don't need another left sided player at present. He used to be a quality player on the right and up front but realistically we cant take him on hoping for him to recover his form and play in these areas.

I can't see this transfer happenin gunless Pineapple falls through or MGP leaves.

Why not leave him at St James' Park...he's crap and has been since his second season at Chelsea :S

Also, he can't play international football at the minute because of he's taking a banned substance to deal with his sinus problems...an illness which kept him out of the Columbia game

Please, for the love of god even if you sell Warnock Ince, do not bring Damien Duff back to Ewood Park :(

As said about 10000000 times, he is (last I heard), due to meet up with the squad, or just the club, tomorrow.

That's the plan...as long as he has a visa and hopefully a work permit.

No 11 o'clocker - frankly there isn't a new Rovers line.

Lots happening elsewhere, mind.
