The Roque-Man City link has been bubbling for weeks.

Just one question. Where would they find the money to do that?

I have heard another name very strongly linked with City today...name him about 11.

I am sure some papers will do the Roque-Man City story tomorrow. It's in the local paper tonight, so some are certain to lift it and re-run it.

any strong linkers for rovers nicko ;)

Surely Moko's departure can't upset you this much !!!! :P

Thank God he's going...he has been a liability..As for Rocky I don't think He'll go to City. That is not a step up rather a step sideways..

I hope rsc stays he is crucial to us having a successful season,i dont think he will go to city nicko thinks they dont have the money,my worry is spurs wil come calling once berbatov and keane are gone.

With the players they have been linked with Islander I don't think they could afford Rocky...

I've just slogged through the ten pages on this thread added since this morning.

If I can do that I don't understand why others have to stick boring repetitive dumb posts on here asking the same dratted questions time and time again.

The answers folks are that Castillo is with the squad, Bentley isn't and nothing but nothing else concrete has happened.

I just had a really horrible thought. Chances are, Arsenal will make a bid for Roque (if they do bid for him) once they got their share of the sell-on clause% when Bentley leaves...

Oh my, hadn't thought of that one before.

nicko, as we don't seem to have steamed in with an offer of 1.5m for Andrews as predicted in some quarters over the last few days, are we now safe to take on trust what John Williams said in the LT?

i.e. He isn't on our radar?

I'd have thought the knock-on effects of the Bentley transfer happening were plain and horrible to see for one and all. One of the main reasoms I have been hoping it would not and quite possibly still might not happen.

All credit to John Williams for putting the price up by £1m yesterday- Spuds must have been sniffing a bit too close for comfort quite apart from treating the mystery strains with a healthy dosing of ice.

For Christs sake, I knew many Rovers fans were pessimistic but I did not realise how much...:lol:

We can't say Villanueva is costing £450k, we have to put it down as £3-3.5 million or whatever it is. If we have to decide in January then the money will come from this season's budget. Isn't Castillo costing around £6 million? That could easily be near £10 million for the pair, I still don't see how we've got much left.

arent we only loaning villanueva for a year... so his transfer cost wont come into full effect till the season after? :)

The way I understand it is he's on loan for a year with the option to buy after that year is up..A very good deal if ever I saw one.

Got a feeling that Man City want Benni. With all their striking problems, i believe they may chase Benni as it'll be easier getting him than Cruz.

The 11 o'clocker may be better than anticipated...

In the meantime, there's a big Andy Johnson story about to break.

Some Rovers news later too - the excitement never ends.

I have read in some quarters that we have to take up the option to purchase by xmas. However - that should be long enough to see if he can cope with the rigours of the Premiership.

Hats off to Ince on this one - I struggle to think of anyone that Hughes bought (maybe McCarthy) that I was immediately excited at the thought of seeing in the blue and white halves.

We sign pineapple for a year on loan, if we like what we see, then we can cut him up, and eat him for 3 years.that doesnt sound right.lol

It's quite a big radar at the moment...and Andrews is still on it...I stressed that was one that the manager knew would go down like a lead balloon but will have a go for when the time is right.

It has been admitted he was discussed originally and I don't think we have heard the end of it.
