I think you're allowed into the UK without a work permit so long as you don't do any work.

nicko - any chance of an pre-update update sneak preview update of any potential ins or outs that have occured at Rovers in the last 2 hours since I've been off line?

What's going on with Gareth Barry Nicko?

Seems to have been rumbling on forever.

A bit like Bentley...nobody has bid the right money yet.

Barry is palying tonight isnt he. Villa fans booing him *shakes head*

He's gone off now, and were losing 2-1 pretty much a reserve team except Barry

how are the rules regarding work permits?

is it mainly cap-based or do the contract level count to? like if rovers say castillo is a key player and will play most games he get the permit easier than if he was supposed to be a backup? how about age?

* Players must have appeared in 75% of their country's competitive international 'A' team fixtures in the previous two years;

* Permits will be valid for the length of a player's contract with the club;

* The FIFA ranking of the player's national side aggregated over 2 years (at or above 70th place) is a basic criterion.

I'm sure they still use this as rule 1 HAS been talked about re: Brad Guzan

they seem to make exceptions for players who look the business anyways.

According to Talk S***, tonight, Bentley has 'demanded' that Rovers sell him to Spurs.

That should put another million on the price.

Oh dear. He's not going to make himself popular, is he? They could well reconsider.

only just lol, look at this team - VILLA: Parish, Salifou, Stieber, Lichaj, Baker, Barry, Osbourne, Maloney, Routledge, Harewood, Delfouneso. Subs: Bannan, Bevan, Weimann, Roome, Albrighton, Forrester.

reserves? more like youth team

It was good enough for that shower. Just so you know...my friend rung me, Barry was applauded off the pitch by a good majority.

I see SkySports stopped talking about Friedel...the update never actually happened. Nicko must have gone out for a few hours so they had nothing to poach!

WARNOCK - First the bad news...Newcastle have been back in...think the offer is now just over £3 million...it's a bit worrying because they won't go away...surprised this one is ongoing.

FRIEDEL/ROBINSON - Villa have been in [again] and I think it is just about the right figure...now it's up to agreeing a fee for Robinson...sounds a bit like a cracked record.

ANDY JOHNSON - Fulham have come in at an astonishing £10.75 million which is why he pulled out of the Everton game tonight...that is more than Wigan are willing to pay...so I think he will move....relevance to Rovers...none that I can see.

MAN CITY - Cisse is the name I am hearing that they are after...Marseille have told him he can go but only if he finds a club quickly...but the Roque thing will no doubt rear its head...Rovers have to stop that from happening - and surely can.

:lol: Prices are staggering.

Almost wish I was a Rovers supporter, always having the good times <_<
