alexanders Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Nicko, have you heard anything about Pablo Zabaleta whom we were strongly linked to earlier during Sparky's reign? I see that Espanyol has been given time until 1st of August for his departure. Anything to do with us turning down Castillo? Pablo Zabaleta
nicko Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 ZABALETA - is a right back but Rovers have not taken an interest since Sparky left. CRETIEN - may want a move to England, but Rovers have not decided on a right back yet. GARDNER - no great money in that for Spurs, a loan deal with a view...that will collapse in disappointment. ROBINSON - there may be progress.
alexanders Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 ZABALETA - is a right back but Rovers have not taken an interest since Sparky left. It says Midfielder on Wikipedia. You have my apologies.
Bazrakats Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 What happened with Bradley is he still on the list or not wanted anymore.
philipl Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 WARNOCK? 1- Former Manager of Sheff U now managing in thedark depths somewhere. Most folk consider him a pain but I've thought he was OK. 2- Rovers footballer with one England cap. Good lad and loyal clubman by all accounts.
joey_big_nose Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 What happened with Bradley is he still on the list or not wanted anymore. Sparky's man, not Ince's. But I would be suprised if we didn't have another look. His price could have considerably dropped.
bringdunnback Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 His price will have dropped after his crap showing against England, stay well clear.
Bazrakats Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 judging him on one game is a bit unfair. You have to watch them several times to have a good idea about the player
Head Rover Heels Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 But maybe you only have to meet him once to have a good idea about the man?
Drakefyre Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Michael Bradley used to play for NY/NJ and I got to see him a lot, and I can't say I'd be excited by the prospect of signing him. He seemed to go invisible through games, which is difficult for a center midfielder.
VillaSimon Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Hull have agreed a fee with spuds for anthony gardener (2.5m) - more money in the coffers
67splitscreen Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 No it's not he was poo. It was a one off, played out of position etc. All his other suitors seem to have come to the same conclusion. Don't see to many bid's being thrown around, do you. Ince will not let us down
Bazrakats Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 'Michael Bradley used to play for NY/NJ and I got to see him a lot, and I can't say I'd be excited by the prospect of signing him. He seemed to go invisible through games, which is difficult for a center midfielder.' well thats a fairer assesment.
Zulu Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Hull have agreed a fee with spuds for anthony gardener (2.5m) - more money in the coffers Great. Now everybody will see how @#/? he is. The number of Spuds players who get full England caps and Under-21 caps when they can't run and breathe simultaneously beggars belief.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Great. Now everybody will see how @#/? he is. The number of Spuds players who get full England caps and Under-21 caps when they can't run and breathe simultaneously beggars belief. See previous page... it's a 6 month loan.
Zulu Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 See previous page... it's a 6 month loan. That'll be enough to convince you.
they_think_its_all_rover Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 That'll be enough to convince you. Well, Nicko, Hull Daily Mail & BBC radio Humberside all say 6 month loan... Sky say £2.5 million transfer... I know which sounds more convincing. Edit; You mean, enough to convince me he's bab, right? ...doubt it! he'll spend all the time on the treatment table.
Zulu Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Well, Nicko, Hull Daily Mail & BBC radio Humberside all say 6 month loan... Sky say £2.5 million transfer... I know which sounds more convincing. I'm talking about his ability not the details of the deal. EDIT We got there at the same time!
John Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Not sure if this has been asked already today, but is Steven Davis is being looked at?? Personally, I rate him!
Dan Furness Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Jimmy Bullard Why we are not in for him when Wigan are pressing, I will never know
92er Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 And unlike when Hughes came we now have a squad worth something. Absolutely.
Zulu Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Jimmy Bullard Why we are not in for him when Wigan are pressing, I will never know You might still go in. I believe we may have a last-minute sniff. It's not done and dusted for the pie-eaters yet.
