rebelmswar Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 according to ince, villanueva symbols the type of player and football he wants us to play. A bit of flair and swift passing would go down a treat.

dr_awol Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Wouldn't we have first dibs on him, as we're reported to have an option of £4m to buy in the January window? what i mean is what if he throws the toys out of the pram, what's to play champ league football ect.. do you think his wages, length of contract would be sorted out now, so we only have to sign a piece of paper and he is ours? or January comes around and he could say I don't want to play for rovers now man utd, Barsa who ever want to sign me, therefor we could not agree personal terms with him? I hope where not a shopping window for Audax Italiano. every transfer has risk involved. to me it looks like the same deal Bentley had and we will sign him in January, with some addons for Audax Italiano.
DeadlyDirk Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I'm really excited about seeing this kid play, wonder if he will feature against Wolves at all tomorrow?
laughatthedingles Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Everyone seems so excited about this deal apart from Rovers. This deal has been done for around 2 weeks now without an unvieling of even a mention on the official site, what is going on?
PAFELL Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Everyone seems so excited about this deal apart from Rovers. This deal has been done for around 2 weeks now without an unvieling of even a mention on the official site, what is going on? They have been waiting for a work permit - which came through today I believe.

This deal has been done for around 2 weeks now without an unvieling of even a mention on the official site, what is going on? probably still a bit of paper work to be done. obviously blackburn dont want to unveil him until its all sorted. maybe a loan fee has to be official or something.
Ronin Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Probably taking ages to print his name on the back of the shirt they usually parade on an unveiling
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 There should be a big unveiling at Ewood like Roque apparently. I thought his work permit came through on Wednesday PAFELL, as his agent said something like "So on Thursday, Carlos will just be relaxing".

I thought his work permit came through on Wednesday PAFELL, as his agent said something like "So on Thursday, Carlos will just be relaxing". Really want to go down now - enjoyed the Roque show when he came and I'll enjoy this - just give me a time and I'm off down!
laughatthedingles Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 If they were waiting for a permit fine, but when sky announce something like this before you there is something wrong, we should be SHOUTING IT!
T4E Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Everyone seems so excited about this deal apart from Rovers. This deal has been done for around 2 weeks now without an unvieling of even a mention on the official site, what is going on? He's been training with us for a whole day now. Ince has probably decided he's no good and sent him home.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Ince: "Some of the lads have been watching him on YouTube..." I wonder. They seem to have a lot of internet access. Best watch myself next season, Mokoena might be on the lookout for me if he's seen my comments about him.
Rover-the-Top Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 If they were waiting for a permit fine, but when sky announce something like this before you there is something wrong, we should be SHOUTING IT! Just my own little theory, but I think the 'something wrong' is that Sky have announced the deal is complete before it officially is.
BPF Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Maybe it is just me... But does he look like Gillespie? (sp?) Changed my mind now...
philipl Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Carlos Villanueva, looks different class, I just think we should have signed him outright, what happens if at the end of next season, Europe's top want him, meanwhile Villanueva cant agree terms with us? But i'm very happy to see him here, he will provide many assists next season. It's a done deal- terms already agreed if the loan is converted into a permanent contract.=
DeadlyDirk Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 It's a done deal- terms already agreed if the loan is converted into a permanent contract.= Can't wait to see Carlos in action, looks like such a good prospect, I think Ince might have got us a real bargain here. As long as we have first refusal I'm happy, otherwise if he does well then no doubt the big clubs will come in if he performs. I'm sure in this day and age though it will be written into his loan contract that he can't move to another club unless we turn him down. Will be interesting to see where he plays, from what I've seen on youtube and heard about him it looks like he's an attacking player who favours the left foot so I guess your looking at either a support striker role or on the left wing. Pedersen looks to be playing well in pre season and hopefully is getting back to his old form. Could well see a 4 man midfield with Santa Cruz up front on his own with Villanueva in the hole.
ace Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 It's a done deal- terms already agreed if the loan is converted into a permanent contract.= According to Lee on the officail messageboard site ..this is not a done deal yet. Tha.t's why there has been no official announcement.
cohernan Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Hello here in chile was a story about Villanueva said that sick and have to be isolated for a time http://www.lun.com/modulos/catalogo/pagina...poPantalla=1024
alexanders Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Translation: Spanish » English: By now looks like a bad spell leg pursued by Carlos Villanueva. After his frustrated transfer to Real Sociedad and varied problems in obtaining the working premise to play in England for his new club, Blackburn Rovers, the former player Audax Italiano continued its string of misfortunes to become infected by chicken pox, as reported Cooperativa.cl portal. The disease has it all at rest and unable to have contact with his new teammates. Thus, the Chilean will forfeit the friendly duels his new cast, which is preparing for the Premier Leauge.
roversmum Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Didn't he train with them yesterday? Hope not, or they'll all get it. Poor Carlos, not a good start to his Blackburn career. Hope someone is looking after him properly.
alexanders Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Didn't he train with them yesterday? Hope not, or they'll all get it. Poor Carlos, not a good start to his Blackburn career. Hope someone is looking after him properly. Why don't you take care of him mum?
roversmum Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 He'll have to wait until I'm back from Wolves tomorrow
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Could it be because of where he comes from? Most kids would have been subject to contact at an earlyish age, but because it's South America...Maybe he just picked it up as he got over and he doesn't have passive/natural immunity. I don't know. It's usually more severe in adults though.
roversmum Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Not necessarily. Most of my family have had it more than once in varying degrees of severity and all had their jabs.
roversmum Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 That's a whole different story. No, jabs are important. Mr Roversmum would have loved to have been able to have the polio one as it would have prevented his disability.
