Brownie Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 We will be hosting a Questions and Answers Evening with Rovers legend David Speedie on the 16th September at The Hordens and need a selection of quality questions from those that cant make it. For those that can, tickets will be 5 pounds and on sale as soon as I get them printed so bring your question along with you. From my conversations with Speedo, who now lives in Ireland, he fully hopes and intends to have a good drink with Rovers fans after the event and has asked me to sort him somewhere to stay. He has also asked me to drive him to the airport the next day so I would guess he intends to have a good night !! I have already made contact with agents of Kevin Gallacher, Mike Newell, Simon Garner and Tony Gale so there should be more nights like this to follow. I am only going to release 200 tickets to ensure everybody gets an opportunity to meet him. I will give details how to purchase tickets when I have them printed. Cheers Brownie

simcla Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Was daglish a brilliant manager, or just the figurehead to attract the players?
broadsword Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 What happened to your plans to become a referee?
Brownie Posted July 18, 2008 Author Posted July 18, 2008 What happened to your plans to become a referee? Is that genuine ? Did he really plan that ?

What happened to evening with Nicko? Are we in Albania now? Has all reference to certain issues been removed? Enver Hoxha incidentally was a great left back

broadsword Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 Is that genuine ? Did he really plan that ? Confirm with Lee, apparently it was the first ever news item on this site.
bazza Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 What, if anything, did Simon Garner say to you after you nearly crippled him for life? You know; when you got sent off and took a wild swing at the ball as Garner was walking past.
Brownie Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 TICKETS NOW ON SALE Blackburn Rovers Legend, David Speedie will be making a guest appearance at The Hordens where he will be answering questions from local MC Dave Allen before taking questions from the floor. Speedo will then meet and chat with supporters untill the end which he has indicated may well be late ! (He likes a drink !) There will only be 200 tickets available as I want to keep this pretty intimate and allow everybody to have some time with the striker fired us into the Premiership whilst enjoying his famous tumble at Wembley. The former striker gives a hilarious no holds barred performance when in public and is every bit as controversial now as he was then Tickets are just five pounds and will be sold on a first come first served basis. Tickets now on sale, either come into The Hordens and pay cash, send a cheque to David Brown The Hordens 631 Livesey Branch Road Blackburn BB2 5DQ Or send payment to my paypal account which is david.brownie@ukonline.co.uk
DingleBaiter Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Why did he never continue with his career of being an agent? Anyone that can get 3.3 million for Steve Simonsen must have something about him Question - did he really believe SS was going to be the next England goalie, as he told us in his last Q&A at Ewood?
Ste B Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 What went on with Gordan Cowans Sierra and Garners shop Why were Rovers players asked to leave the trafalgar hotel ?
Mc Love Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 This isnt a question for the night, this is for now.......just out of interest where does Speedie live in Ireland? Then i might have a question
des Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 you always seemed to be a up and at them type of player, with this in mind what do you think of todays football, which almost seems to be a non contact sport.
brfcs5359 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Whose leg did you break in training and whose leg did you want to break in training? Or did you not have any preference to whose leg it was? Now you've got less ginger hair than before, are you less aggressive?
DanLad Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Will he have a fight with someone...or everyone. Y'know, just for old times sake? ;-)
thenodrog Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I'd have loved seeing him play up front with Paul Dickov! Magic! Centre halves really would have hated playing us.
LDRover Posted August 10, 2008 Posted August 10, 2008 What would win in a fight between a goose and a swan?
b12_simon Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 RE Eurosport-Where has SS gone? I saw him out in Portugal.
Ste B Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 RE Eurosport-Where has SS gone? He works for Eurosport now.
