[Archived] People Going To Away Games?

Recommended Posts

hi im considering going to my first football game, being a young lad from Kent hasnt helped me get to Ewood anytime soon!

Do many of you go to the games in London, as that will be the easiest option for me... so is Craven Cottage or Upton Park welcoming to me?

Do any of you meet up at a pub beforehand and then head off to the game, giving me some people to tag along with :)

You are virtually guaranteed a ticket to any London game..I don't remember us selling out an allocation there..I've been to most of the London clubs..Chelsea is expensive as is Arsenal..Craven Cottage is quite a nice venue, pretty friendly too......

Craven Cottage is always a good time. Easy to get to by National Rail and then the Tube, friendlier fans than most clubs who dont mind sharing a pub with you. Also, the Fulham fans are so emotionless and dull that the Atmosphere in the away end is even more hyped than usual.

Upton park is pretty grotty but can be a good time. I personally wouldnt try any of the pubs around that area if you're dressed up to the nines in your rovers kit. Not the most friendly bunch of people.

Emirates is horrendously expensive but you do get to see a fantastic game of football.

Stamford Bridge is horrendously expensive and you dont get to see a fantastic game of football

White Hart Lane is a horrible stadium, not a great bunch of fans, but not bad enough for you to not be able to go into any pubs (as long as the pub allows both sets of fans in).

I would personally reccomend Craven Cottage for your first game. It was mine. Cheap and cheerful and you'll have a huge laugh ripping the ##### out of the lifeless Fulham fans who can only just about muster up the occasional 'come on fulham!' which is then met by a deafening cry of '#### off Fulham!'... good times.

hello i am a rovers fan living in london, how do i go about getting tickers for away games and will it be possible to do so without being a season ticket holder?

You will have no problem getting tickets, you have to get them through Rovers by ringing there ticket office.

cheers mate, just wondering is there any fellow rovers in london and if ye organise trips to matches?

There was a London branch but Rovers in their infinite wisdom did away with the regional clubs..Someone on here is bound to know one or two and pass on some info.
