What a silly post. Can you not read Paul? Most have been on to comment..... and comment very favourably too. So what point are you trying to prove?

1. I suggest you read the rest of thread and a few others.

2. You really do have a very sad life if you have time to sit around putting all those quotes together in your never ending attempts to belittle people....now run along and play will you please

I thought that was one of the three great Rovers goalkeeping perfomances of the last 15 years, because it was in a crucial game, up here with VE day and the Millenium.

Robbo was unbeatable when a defeat would have crippled our confidence. He also made a crucial save against Spurs at 0-1 down so I think our last 6 points have his name largely against them.

It has taken a long time but Paul Robinson seems to be finally getting back to a place he was at with Spurs before his confidence was shot to pieces.

Having a capable defence in front of him after the shambles that was the later days under Ince must help a lot. Clean sheets breed confidence.

Still has a long way to go but the signs are very promising.

As great as Friedel was...he is over eight years older than Robinson. It is intriguing that some of Ince´s signings are looking much better with time...and with him well out of the way from ruining them.

As brilliant as his performance was vs Wigan, it was only the previous game that he cost us a point vs Stoke.

That was a collective cock-up and Robinson wasn't the main culprit.

As for the Wigan match, I enjoyed the goals and the celebrations - in fact I have Warnock's swallow dive as my new desktop background. I can recommend it - it cheers me up every time I look at it!

But - the best bit for me was the 65th minute - without question. Robinson had a Tim Flower's "bottle moment".......he was so pumped he nearly ripped Pedersen's head off when Gamst tried to congratulate him! Dunn too could have busted through a brick wall when he committed to the header off the line. Hmmm - wish I had pics of that for my desktop!

Great stuff.

I do believe that Robinson was very unlucky with the goal at Stoke, all the experts tell strikers to hit the ball across the keeper to the far post and just before it was struck you can see Robinson move slightly to his right to cover the larger portion of the net, he then did very well to get such a good hand on the shot and was unlucky not to keep it out.

So to say he cost us a point at Stoke is a little silly!

And totally lets Andrews off the hook!

the majority of shots were at him or within his range his best save seemed to be one low to his left in the Blackburn end which I think he needed to grab that a second time.

But as nicko points out, he pushes the ball back into play from a save. First half he did it, if a Wigan player had beeen in the box at that moment a simple tap in would have resulted fortunately for Robbo and Rovers no Wigan player had ventured into the box. Look forward to the day when hes either putting it out for a corner or catching the ball.

We've waited a long time for Robbo to shine so lets see if he can put a few games together now and steer Rovers to mid to low table finish.

you do realise that he is the reason they all came right at him? he moved 100% correct before the shot came. it is a sign of excellent goalkeeping when he dont have to dive all the time.

Stupid and potentially dangerous imo.

Harsh to blame Robinson for being beaten by a crisp strike from about 8 yards out. Robinson did well to get a hand to it IMO.

As for people saying the shots were all straight at him on Sunday, they only were because of Robinsons positioning, something that has been my main concern about him in the past. That point blank save was top draw and a couple of the the low fast ones would have beaten him earlier in the season. The fans getting behind him did him the world of good, let it continue and he will grow into a top keeper for us.

Every credit to Robbo for his performance on Sunday. People were looking for a "points winning" performance and that was it. Let's hope he can cut the other errors out of his game on a regular basis. If he can, he'll do fine for us.

....But FLB, I can't see where he's been getting better as the season's gone along. Nor do I see where Ince's other signings are looking much better.

Grella certainly looks capable of doing a job. Whether or not he'll justify the price tag is another thing, but if he can stay fit he will probably be useful.

Robinson has been getting better and over the past few weeks has made some crucial saves in big games (Wigan, Stoke, Hull and Spurs).

Grella needs a full pre season behind him and then to be played as the destroyer. He will be an assett to us, protecting our back 4. We just need a good quality injury free roaming attacking midfielder to compliment him! As for Robinson, he is improving throughout the season. Show me a goalie from England who is doing better at the moment!

I don't even want to know what you thought about Shefki Kuqi's swallow dive ;)

Probably would have been a bonus if he injured himself doing it and missed a few games.

To which part? Grella has shown that he can tackle and pass, which is really all that will be asked of him with the role you would expect him to play. He needs to be fit enough to play 90 minutes and cover the ground, but he certainly looks like he has the potential to fill a role in the side. I was against his signing and I still don't think it was a great use of the funds, but we have him now and I think he could be useful.

God you talk some crap!!!

Kuqi won us some valuable points after joining on a free and being sold off at a massive profit. Look where his 7 goals came from during that season and I think you'll agree that he did well. He got us three points with vital goals against West brom, West Ham, Middlesboro (all winners) and a goal in a draw against Wigan, that's 10 points Vinjay!!!!

His other goals came in a 3-2 league cup win against Charlton (so another vital goal) and 1 goal in a 2-0 win against City, that's actually the only goal he scored for us that didn't change the result as we would have won without it anyway.

Just because he's not good enough to play for 'your' rivals Manchester United!!! He did a job for us and we made good money on him.

I was embarrassed to see such a clumsy oaf represent this club. Crystal Palace fans hate him and I can see why.

I don't really see what local rivals Manchester United have to do with whether he was good enough for BRFC.

I don't see what Manchester United have to do with the taking back Ewood thread but you've managed to mention them on there, as well as any other thread you post on.

Cant you go back to spouting your drivel on your own MB like you used to... go on... please!!

I said Man United are the biggest threat to local support. That's why I mentioned them there.

If people can bring up local championship sides in every thread why can't I mention Man United? One rule for some is it?
