Grabbi Graeme Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I think Green will get the starting place, but I would imagine that Robbo would at least get in the squad.

Inta Beaver Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 Its got to be between Robbo and Green, Kirkland isn't playing at the mo, Carson is shocking for England and isn't Kiely playing at the mo, Hart hasn't played since Christmas. I think Robbo will be in the squad but Green will get the nod.
BrownieFC Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 what about Almunia lol he could get the nod over Robbo (joke by the way he should never play for england)
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Today is turning out to be one of the best feel-good days in years. Well deserved. His save today was absolutely brilliant.
RevidgeBlue Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 I would need to see it again but my initial impression was today's save was up there in the top 3 of all time alongside Banks v Pele and Montgomery for Sunderland v Leeds in the 73 Cup final etc.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Very soon to be Englands No1.....has improved immensely!
alexanders Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Actually shrewd transfer business by "name shall not be spoken".
Blue blood Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Another good game by Robbo. It wasn't just his save - which I'm sure everyone thinks was outstanding - that impressed me but his all round game has improved vastly. He seems a lot stronger when coming out for balls, especially high crosses into the box. He looked very composed and assured. In the last few months he's shown that reliability which seperates decent keepers from very good ones. On this form we don't need to look at a new keeper whatsoever. Here's hoping that he continues in this form for a long time to come.
Stuart Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Today is turning out to be one of the best feel-good days in years. Well deserved. His save today was absolutely brilliant. Let's hope it lasts until tomorrow... Fantastic save by Robbo today. No idea how he pulled it off. His confidence is growing each week. He was commanding when coming for corners and caught the ball cleanly every time he went for it.

roverseas Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Bit of a shame for him that the season has ended now. Let's hope he can come back pre-season in the same kind of form.
T4E Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Robbo back in England squad Here's the link - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/i...als/8058348.stm Stunning save today. Friedel-esque. Thats the biggest compliment any Rovers keeper could get.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Well pleased for Robinson. He's always been a world class keeper in my opinion - his confidence took a knock for England after that "every keeper's nightmare" pitch bobble own goal, and then he had to endure the Ramos era at Spurs. I think Juande's coaching staff should be blamed for his dip in form that brought him to us in the first place - look at Gomes now compared to the start of the season. Robbo looked top drawer today, he's lost a lot of weight since joining us and his reflexes are sharper than ever. He also commands his back line at least as well as Friedel ever did.
Backroom Tom Posted May 24, 2009 Backroom Posted May 24, 2009 Well done Robbo well deserved I just hope he keeps as trim as he is now over the summer break
Bobby G Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 So so improved over the second half of the season! Looks like we have the old Robinson back and we have some decent hands between the sticks again.
philipl Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I had hoped to see that save by Robbo (and Robberts red card) again but cannot find anything on the internet and missed MoTD.
thenodrog Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Here's the link - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/i...als/8058348.stm Stunning save today. Friedel-esque. Thats the biggest compliment any Rovers keeper could get. Great minds....... A comparison that I posted on the WBA thread. Robinson has regained his confidence under Sam. I just wish that Capello had not selected him to go to the England training camp which has preoven to be a nest of vipers for BRFC in the past
Eddie Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 Robinson has "been there, done that". He won't have his head turned by the "glitz" like younger players and new call-ups often do. I think it can only be good for his confidence to have these performances recognised. One of the few positives legacies from the Ince era, a very good piece of work.
donis1410 Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I am so chuffed for Robbo, because he has worked so hard this season, even when some of our fans were getting on his back for "not being friedel" but hopefully now they will be recognising him as "robinson" and he own player who can hopefully build a legacy like brad did!!!
Hasta Posted May 25, 2009 Posted May 25, 2009 I slated him for most of this season but (unlike many round here) I'll hold my hand up and say he's proven me wrong. Well done Robbo.
jim mk2 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Arry wants Robinson back at Spuds................ according to the Daily Star .
BuckyRover Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 He's a bloody joker. Has any other manager attempted to be successful by buying previously sold players. I presume Sam will tell him to go whistle.
sambo Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 Sounds like lazy journalism to me, but you never know with 'Arry
