PAFELL Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Just a question for debate - but with whu wanting / needing to off-load players and Lucas Neil believed to be one of them. Would he be welcomed back at Ewood Park. Ince is after a right back (maybe even a left back if warnock leaves)

Mc Love Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I would have mixed feelings about Lucash being back here! And it would have to be the same money he was on or less when he was here.
CrazyIvan Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Yes... so I could throw rotten fruit at him while he sits in a stock...
Bobby G Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 We could have much better players. Lucas' biggest asset was his fight and hard work. Never the best positionally or the sorts...
roversmum Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Not really. We can manage a fairly good red and yellow card count without him thanks.
blue/white Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Haven't we moved on to bigger and better Right backs? Let's keep Lucas on our collective rearview mirror.
AussieinUk Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 C'mon there is no chance this deutsch bag is coming back, or would ever be welcomed back at Rovers
RibbleValleyRover Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 No i wouldn't want him back and i never rated him in the first place.
almuncle Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 If we really and truly have got nobody else who can give away needless penalties and free kicks then ..
Lathund Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I would welcome him bac, provided it made sense financially.
BiggusLaddus Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I would welcome him bac, provided it made sense financially. I think that we should be setting our sights higher, regardless of his wages and history with us. He only had one good season, before that he was a liability who got sent off or gave away a pen every other match. Even in the World Cup were he was lauded by so many of the pundits and newspapers, Australia were knocked out because he went diving in and gave away a cheap penalty.
-foreverrovers- Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 i would give him the same welcome as united supporters would give ian huntley if he turned up at old trafford.
sparky12 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 i would but i wouldnt but it would take alot of time for me to get used to it
Majiball Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 If emo is going to play right wing then no, I do not think they would work as a combo. We need someone who can cross a ball and has a bit of pace to get the best outta Emo in that position. Neill Returning would go down like a lead ballon me thinks!
almuncle Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Would we welcome Duff back seems more likely? Don't know how to start new threads sorry.
Mr. E Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I wouldn't even welcome Duff back, and he was 100x the footballer Neil was.
hawaii501 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I'd welcome Lucas back at the Rovers. You want the best players playing for your team and there is no doubting his footballing talents. Also I'd love to see Damien DUff back at Ewood but not in a swap deal with Warnock
hawkiiz Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 if we got him for free, then sure. he is a fairy good player so why not. but i dont want rovers to pay much more than what i can afford for him but it really is a dead issue. the fans have quite openly told him to stay far far away from ewood, and he have said he is disaoppinted and mad at the fans. it would be suicide for Neil and Ince if it happened. then again im not gonna go into shock if ince decides to go for him
JAL Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Times moves on lets look to the future. Dont look back in anger i here you say.
benlloninho Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 He's a pretty good player, free kicks/penalties aside. I watched him play for West Ham against the MLS ALL-STARS the other night - he deffo gave away the penalty. So needless. I wouldn't want him back and I doubt he would come back.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 NOOOOOOOOOOO, the guy's a liability. If there aren't better right backs out there I'll get my boots down from the loft !
