Bazrakats Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 What about sinama pongolle? if we are after a stricker he would be perfect for a prtner for santa cruz.
JohnS Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 What about sinama pongolle? if we are after a stricker he would be perfect for a prtner for santa cruz. He's joined Atletico Madrid so don't think we 'd ever get him.
Mozzer Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 pongolle has just signed for athletico madrid i think.. we missed out on him-we could have gone for him when he was after he finished his loan with us..
gbax Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Good news for some, bad news for others...leave it until later for the full picture. I bet Birthdays and Christmas are torture in your house. You must get your family into a frenzy with little clues regarding their surprises for the big day! Admit it, you love the power you have over us!!!
CrazyIvan Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Nicko, Is this accurate or a load of old tosh? http://www.premiershiplatest.com/news/arse...na-5512847.html
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Nicko, any idea whether Carlos has "crusted over" yet, or is he still looking like a pincushion? EDIT: Annan goes to Arsenal for a trial - Jesus wept.
bellamy11 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Sounds a lot like Duffer to me. Heart over head - I'd love it. But in the real world it really doesn't solve any problems that we have.
Nelsonfan Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 There will be an 11 o'clocker tonight...and it might be worth the wait. Updates on Annan, Sable, Bassye and an old friend. I've just heard from a mate that a name linked with us is Joaquin, but also linked with Villa? I've done a quick search on here and can't find anything - and was wondering if this is a genuine link or just someone giving me rubbish info on a name.
Bobby G Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Joaquin was linked a month ago before Bentley left. I think its unlikely and possibly dead now... If Annan joins Arsenal cause we couldnt get our finger out on time, it would be hugely disappointing...
Nelsonfan Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Joaquin was linked a month ago before Bentley left. I think its unlikely and possibly dead now... Cheers, sounds like hes got it from old information then.
nicko Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I bet Birthdays and Christmas are torture in your house. You must get your family into a frenzy with little clues regarding their surprises for the big day! Admit it, you love the power you have over us!!! I work on my birthday and Christmas is usually cancelled. It's an absolute hoot round here.
sparky12 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Right back I imagine. And yes I'd welcome him back (a qualified welcome, mind, cos of the red cards). Edit: I don't think it's Neil though. you say rightback but weve got simpson
nicko Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I will do updates on Annan, Sable, Bassye and the 'old friend' later... No more questions or answers just now. Going to waste some of the children's inheritance on some dodgy horses at Haydock. Evening.
philipl Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Bazzanotso great, the club budgeted to increase wages by GBP4m. There was a string of new contracts signed last year which is why this summer we have not faced free transfers away or players holding a gun to our head because they had less than two years to run on their contract. Sparky's new contract alone added over GBP500k a year to the wage bill. If you look down the table, I allowed a GBP750K add back for the wages budget not being spent fully.
JohnS Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I work on my birthday and Christmas is usually cancelled. It's an absolute hoot round here. You love it mate, actually credit it for you, most of the links you do provide do actually come true. Whats the latest on Kaboul?
gbax Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I work on my birthday and Christmas is usually cancelled. It's an absolute hoot round here. Ha! Poor Mrs. Nixon! You do look a little like Mr. Bumble. Please Sir can we have some more info? MORE!!!! Wait till 11pm! My wife's beginning to think there's something funny going on when I suddenly annonce that I'm going online to check your updates late at night!
RoverRich Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Well Fowler certainly fits the old part of what Nicko said but not so sure on the friend part Annan better not end up at the Emirates! Letting him go back to Norway suggests we aren't all that bothered. Surely we have just gifted an opportunity for other bigger clubs to have a look and come in with more money. Why we did not seal the deal earlier this week I do not know but we had better get him!
Claytons Left Boot Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 There you go again, last week you berated me.......... Ohhh, you dirty barstewards.........I'll throw a bucket of cold water over you! Can you two not just be friends?
Esulx Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Gunnar Nielsen has gone on loan to Motherwell until January.
Bobby G Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Look forward to see who the old friend is, I reckon its Duff.
rovers1995 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 If I was to guess the 11 o'clocker tonight it would be that: Annan is on trial at Arsenal Sable is going to sign a contract at Rovers Bassye is going to sign a contract at Rovers and the old friend is robbie fowler and he is going to sign a contract to. Nicko is on about fowler as the 'old friend' and then winked because he knows people aren't happy about him. I don't know why though it is no harm on signing him up.
