I complained a while ago about the negative slant to most of nicko's postings and I note that after getting the messageboard in an absolute lather over so called developments with Warnock he has conceded in one of his posts today that there is nothing happening there.

You don't half talks some rot.

What was 'negative' about the Danny Simpson, Carlos Villanueva or Paul Robinson signings?

The truth is Annan came, was due to sign and then given a custard pie with a 'loan' suggestion. The truth is Sable came and went. The truth is that the manager wants Keith Andrews.

That's what's happened and is happening.

The whining you hear is in your own head.

See a doctor.

Maybe we can raise a petition or something to JW to let them know that we are NOT IN FAVOR of signing fowler or andrews.

I think it's largely cos of a teenage petition on some adolescent web site that we are in this situation now.

Regression a word used in one of the papers to describe Rovers, I find it kind of strange that Rovers have pulled down St.Bartholmews(spelling) school and the church at Ewood whist keeping it very quiet almost to the point of not wanting anyone to know about whats going on there and whos behind it.

What are you blathering on about now?

You know that for a fact do you? Do you actually live on Oakdale? What's that school thing there? That new building? Well when I say new it's been there for a couple of years now. Oh that's St Barts school and also a new Church. Better facilities I'd imagine. Who paid for that then? Not Rovers. As for the old Church - couldn't afford the upkeep unfortunately.

"whist keeping it very quiet almost to the point of not wanting anyone to know about whats going on" That's right -Rovers knocked down the old school Church and built replacements between Fenrnhurst and Oakdale just after it went dark on Wednesday evening. I'm sure I saw Dunny helping out.

Sorry! it's early. I'm with you now. Your taking the ######.

Not well by all accounts. He should have linked up with Miss Roversmum. She got five winners! Not bad for her first race meeting !

Anybody could do that at their first meeting RMum! The trick is NOT to back EVERY horse. ;)

Nicko. I know it's been mentioned elsewhere but just wondering if you can clear up HOW he could be offered a loan deal???

It's been suggested that only 2 loan deals of any kind can be used this season.

Are you aware of that being the case

why are people moaning about what Nicko tells you.

He's a journalist. Payed to report news. Not to make up fiction. That would make him a novelist!

Read back in the thread - he said it's not considered a loan, but an 'international transfer' apparently?

If Santa Cruz is sold this summer I'm going to personally write my own letter to someone in Jersey. Literally.

The Jersey postie will be quite some chap if he manages to deliver that to the correct address.

Oh come on! All this "seen him play numerous times" stuff is old hat Coat. Have seen him in a 20 second clip on YouTube?

Without going OTT - that would not be a good thing to do believe me. (The sale I mean, not my letter).

Calm down, calm down - old coggers like you and me (ok me) have been here before - its just like de ja-vous (smell check)

Remember all the fuss and promises under Souness when Sealdinio was signed - heck there wasnt even a youtub-bettamax video available. What ever happened to him - he either buggered off with Nuclearsoux or beached himself up the Ribble.

As for the sell off, hasnt anybody realised what been going on behind the scenes.

You just need to go round the back of the Riverside, theres an old bloke there taking down the stand brick by brick, writing peoples names on them and selling them off to construct the walkway.

Amazing how a few rags reporting Annan to be the next Essien can make almost an entire message board think he's the messiah.

Get a freakin grip.

If he signs, great. If he doesn't then there's clearly a bloody good reason why not!

Now if his name was Brian - then I would believe you.

He is not that awesome.

I think Le Tallec was going to be the next pires and Bruno Cherno the next Zidane or something.

Of course Liverpool believed that and bought the players ;)

Aplogies, I had read back over several pages of complete dross when I logged on this morning but must have missed that one paragraph.

Nicko - anything in the Jimmy Bullard link to us in The Times?

Decent player, but he'd probably cost a bit.

Nicko, anything on the Santa Cruz to Villa story?

I know where that story came from...and it's either someone being incredibly indiscreet or a bogus leak to 'nail' a mole.

Not sure which yet.

The Mirror say both Villa and Man City are gonna battle it out for Santa Cruz? Any truth in this?

I think you can safely accept that every mention of City trying to buy anyone from another EPL club is a load of cobblers for the time being.

Bullard wants a pay rise at Fulham...

And if it did come round it would be SOME medical.

Nicko- are there are a lack of funds at Rovers as we seem to be wanting loan deals for everything!

It is worrying as we should have £10 million from Bents+ whatever transfer funds were available at the start of the season.

Are there any players that would excite us on the potential target lists?

There is money, but there is also a 'safety first' tactic right now.

I can understand taking players in on loan if there are question marks over them.

Obviously in the case of Annan the manager was not sure about him.

You might recall that a week ago Paul Ince said he was 'looking to bring some loans in' which is also what I had heard was happening on the grapevine.

There is no problem with that - but it CAN cost you deals if another club steps in.

As for targets, I will name the striker you are after tomorrow...and this will no doubt greeted with wailing and groaning plus polite applause in some quarters.

You can't please everyone. So you've got to please yourself.

As someone once wrote.

The folly of so many clubs in the Prem being next door to skint exactly one year after their media income being doubled to 'atmospheric' levels is nothing short of scandalous and just illustrates the old saying about 'fools and their money'. Lets hope it continues til the entire shabang implodes, a few clubs crash into the buffers at the end of the line, and some sort of sanity is introduced.
