I hope he doesn't...it's a sideways step. But I believe Villa fancy him and MAY make an offer.

These are very strange times. Posisbly the strangest I have ever known.

Strange times alright, especially when considering the Andrews transfer:

1) Supposedly we want him.

2) He gets transfer listed by MK Dons and dropped from preseason

3) Rovers haven't signed him and is possibly off the radar and he gets unlisted and reinstated as captain

4) Now we want him again?!

Not that I am doubting you, but it makes no sense from a transfer point of view. I mean, if we really did want him that bad, surely a deal would've been agreed at stage 2 when his stock would've been lowest? Or are you saying as all along that he deal has already been done from as far back as then?

And... I wish we were in for Vagner Love (porn star name or not). He's an amazing player and will certainly get the goals.

SIGNINGS - Andrews is THE priority...Paul Ince wants him and wants him this week...I think this will happen.

ANNAN - Due in at Arsenal this week, but his current club Stabaek have a European game in midweek - so Wenger needs to act fast. I think he is now off the Rovers radar after the 'loan' suggestion.

STRIKER - Watching Nicola Zigic at Valencia. Found out by accident. Stoke City went over to do the deal with Valencia and were knocked back, my Spanish source tells me they were informed that Rovers are the main rival...but only want him if Sunderland make a big offer for Benni. Hear mixed reports on this guy. He is huge, but some reckon he woud make a better basketball player. Still, it's not for me to judge. Rovers watched him play as a sub at Newcastle today. Don't know if he got on. Would have been hard to miss.

ROQUE - NO bid from Villa. Yet.

MAN CITY - Like I say, carnage.

EVERTON - About to sign a striker...Vagner Love from CSKA Moscow. Trying to get him before they meet you at the weekend. From Russia With Love? You couldn't make these things up. Although apparently I do...

Oh boy this lot of information is likely to go down like titanic here..

Annan - I just dont understand it, he is an unknown really but given he wanted to join, and Wenger is keen on him.... its not like risking 2m plus on a 3rd division player who is 28 and had failed in his last attempt in the league?

Andrews - Above says it all, if Ince wants him that bad and has been targeting midfielders for weeks.. obviously Ince feels he is first team material..

Zigic.. not totally sure on this one to be honest.. he isnt too bad but isnt he getting on a little at 27, he is hardly one for the future.. plus since leaving red star his goal ratio dropped quite allot.. been at Valancia for a year after signing for 20mil Euros but only got 18 games?

So no one else has been mentioned for that main CM role.. or RM role???? Baysse, Annan, Sable.. etc all in and straight out...

I am backing Ince.. but the above is really worrying me to say the least.

To me the money has vanished.. but I cant understand why!!! Are we putting the money to one side to sell the club ASAP!!! Its not like we have actually spent anything yet this pre-season!!!

Good man Nicko. I apologise for doubting you on the Friedel deal - you are the man!!

Roque would be a great signing. I don't think Rovers would sell though. Don't think he'd want to go, especially as his little brother has just arrived.

Would Rovers need to lanky strikers. We already have Roque that does the heading and flick ons. Surely we won't have 2?

Villa have Carew, Agbonlahor, Harewood would they need Roque?

Any news on a Right Winger and is Seb Larrson going anywhere soon?

I see what you are saying mate.. Agree totally and he would be to expensive not to be a first team player..

But what if Benni is not the person they are thinking of in terms of needing to replace.. if you know you may loose a player.. is it not better to scout options.. ??? Nicko has already mentioned Villa have not bid for RSC yet

Andrews is more expensive than expected, that is why it was held up, but after close scrutiny of the options - Castillo and Annan - it has gone back to him. I still think there is some reluctance by the money men to make this a 'star' signing. But you HAVE to back the manager.

Not on this one I'm afraid. I am beginning to get really piffed off with this. No wonder there is a reluctance by the money men, infact I would hazard a guess that one or two of them are getting very twitchy and having second thoughts about Mr Ince.

If Andrews is the same quality as the likes of Annan (who Wenger apparently wants to buy) then WTF has he been doing playing Championship and lower leagues to the age of 28.

This and the Fowler shambles doesn't give me very much hope for the coming season.

Think I might stick a few quid on us being relegated, as we will be closer to that end of the table no doubt.

I normally sit back and take stock and wait to see how things pan out, but I am absolutely gobsmacked and angry with what is going on at the moment.

Stories of unrest? No effin wonder.

I hate to say this but, on a par with sounding like gordon, it really does seem that the club is completely mis-managed in the current situation. JW isn't offering any reaction to the knowledge that we are only going for trialists and loanees when we have just received a lump sum for Bentley. We are desperately trying to sign league two players and if it can't get any worse, we're selling off our better players or at least encouraging bids by being so publicly unorganised.

lets just hope that at some stage in this absolute and total farce which we don't deserve (after the relative success of the past few years) that the management, even publicly, appear to have some idea what they're doing. Going off what Nicko has said, it is hard to imagine how the situation could get much worse, even our pre-season has been shocking albeit, pre-season results don't really matter too much.

Sticking by Ince is the only way we can actually get through this tricky little spell, its just................well............its a bit daunting siding with someone you don't completely trust.

Big man, small man pairing tends to work well - crouch and defoe at portsmouth for example - can see the logic.

Roque and Zigic???? can't see it myself, needs a pacey striker alongside to run onto his flick-ons.

I think Zigic is alright, his scoring record isn't that bad really esp. for someone who's taller than peter crouch (6'8"). I think he has a hard time with the valencia squad - Villa, Morientes, Miguel and Zigic all in the same team.

Being a villa fan I hear about Larsson all the time from the sty dwellers down the road, I'm sure the dildo salesmen were on ssn earlier this week stating he would'nt be going anywhere for less than £16M - hmmm don't think so

RSC - yes please

Andrews - fruitless signing. If he cant hack it at Hull why Rovers ?

RSC outbound to Villa ? cant see this.

Rovers are very quickly imploding if we are to accept everything that has been written.

Should we lose RSC, Warnock and McCarthy will almost certainly leave the club leaving us up sh** creek without ANY paddles.

Championship and oblivion beckon :angry::angry::angry:

Maybe they'll keep it up head tennis style around the other team and into the net.

Ultimately, if Ince signs Andrews and he flops it will be the manager's head on the block. It is a huge gamble on the part of a manager who has yet to win favour with large sections of the Ewood crowd. I really can't believe that he would be able to survive buying Andrews and selling Santa Cruz. For his own long term prospects, Ince has got to insist that Roque stays no matter what particularly if Andrews and Fowler are signed.

ITS OUR CLUB. I don't want to see Andrews wearing that shirt. He doesn't deserve it. You hear him interviewed and he sounds like a smug pr*ck who thinks he's going to be hooked up by his former boss. Ince needs to open his eyes and look beyond the footballing world of MK Dons. He looked like he was doing ok, but I really won't be able to stomach a signing like Andrews.

Ok then, seems Ince is set on signing a puddin' one way or another. All agreed.

Do we think he will go for one or the other of Fowler or Andrews, or DARE to sign both and feel the fans wrath??

IF you had to choose one or the other (bearing in mind that in this arguments sake neither is not an option!!!) which would you choose??

Don't believe Roque leaving for a second, especially not to Villa (no disrespect).

Bentley left because he wanted to and that was before Ince.

Friedel left because of the money, understandable.

Warnock, the Barcodes wanted him but we said no and rejected any offers that came in for him

McCarthy, will only be sold if the price is right.

Roque - I put my house on it that he'll be in a Rovers shirt come 1st Spetember? Anyone want a bet?

Evening all...

Yes another Villa fan here been reading the site most the summer and enjoyed the read hope your not offended at us dropping in I'm not here to wind up or cause grief. Feel free to drop in to www.villatalk.com any time its always good to discuss stuff with other fans.

Anyway I see your linked with Zigic not sure he is the quality you would be hoping for we've been linked with him in the past so watched him a few times. He reminds me of Peter Crouch with less ability.

What do you folks make of the RSC rumours? Can't see it happening myself although we do need a striker but I suspect Ashton is our real target.

Is Ince bothered ? I really dont think so, he hasnt gone out of his way to endere himself to the fans and hes been here what four weeks. Todays limp wristed wave was a lame attempt I thought.

Dangerously high risk times.

I really have to stop staying up for these.

Zigic is attrocious. If true, it just compounds with the Andrews possible signing as indicating that Ince and his pensioners are totally out of touch with the modern Premier League.

Absolutely right.

Watched Zigic last time we were linked to him. He's completely useless. He can't run, he can't turn, he can't shoot, he can't beat a man. He just stands up front, nothing else, - he just stands up front.

He'll offer us nothing and I can only think Ince is interested [IF it's true, because he's gettable. In other words, no club of any real ambition wants him.
